During the 1960's it was popular to get toys in the cereal boxes by mail and almost every cereal had these promotional toys. One cereal to do this was Cheerios when they debuted it's famous Johnny Lightning Double Trouble car promotion. Now if you were a kid who loved collecting toy cars a lot may know that Johnny Lightning was a famous diecast toy car company second to Matchbox. And if you were growing up you probably owned the Johnny Lightning Double Trouble car when your mom sent in the order form from Cheerios. The commercial starts with an announcer telling you about the Johnny Lightning Double Trouble while a kid is shown racing it around a bedroom and then cuts to a Cheerios box at the end. All throughout the commercial Herb Alpert-like music plays. I don't know when in the 60's the commercial first aired but it's a neat piece of nostalgia
