I didn't realize they were getting married this soon. Was it a big wedding? Were his mother and grandmother invited? I guess I will have to check out the magazines and see what I've missed.

I heard about Freddie and Sarah today and I wish them a wonderful marriage. When I heard the news today it was so nice. I know his father is smiling.

Hey Gang,
I wanted to tell you that I have it on a very reliable source, which I have promised not to reveal, that Jr and SMG actually got married in secret back in July in Vegas and then decided to re-tie the knot lately so as to invite friends and family and actually make the news public (Sound a little familiar?) Anyway, to my sorrow, I heard that Maria wasn't invited to either ceremony. :crying: I understand that she has not been contacted by Jr in a very long time. I wish he would call her. This nameless source lets me know she would love to hear from him and she is a very sweet lady. I can't wait to hear how Luis and Isaac's visit goes. I know she loves to talk about and remember Freddie. He was such a good son to her. I am sure she misses him very much. I do know she is happy that there are still people who not only remember him, but love him like she does! Way to go Fans and Friends of Freddie!

Congratulations! I hope it lasts longer than his dads did... :) I had read they had gotten secretly married.

I think it's a shame he doesn't contact his Grandma. She sounds like a sweet lady. When she passes on one day he will wish he had spent more time with her. That's bad he didn't invite her to the wedding. Freddie would be so upset... Sure hope he'll start keeping tabs on her...

It is a shame Jr. doesn't communicate with his grandmother, and that she wasn't invited to the wedding. I wish him and Sarah well--at least they didn't marry as impulsively as it sounds like Freddie and Kathy must have (and I hope it was not for the same reason--a baby on the way--but of course no one in the entertainment business seems to bother to get married anymore until that is the situation!).

I found this article on the wedding here:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&ncid=579&e=4&cid=638&u=/nm/20020904/en_nm/people_gellar_dc

I will be checking out all the ENQUIRER type papapers & magazines like PEOPLE, US etc to see if there is anything on the wedding in there. If there is & there are any pics of Freddie or mentions of him in them, then I will be buying. So sad Frederico never got to see his son marry... :crying:

I feel sad myself that Jr. has not contacted his grandmother. I get this gut feeling that Sarah could be with child. (Of course I can be wrong). If he ever has children one day he will feel sad that he did not share them with his paternal side of the family. His grandma!!! Life is too short to play games................ :( :( :(

seems to me that Jr and SMG have been engaged for a while as I think it was mentioned awhile ago many pages back that they were engaged so I doubt it is as spontanious as Freddie and Kathy's
I don't know what SMG is like at all has any one got an idea on that?

My father is buried near some of the Firefighters who were killed on 9/11 so it gives me solace. I've been to his gravesite four times already to give him flowers. Today I bought home his rocking chair that he used to sit in and that gives me solace too. Thank you for asking and sending me prayers.

Glad to send out the prayers & good vibes... I know I could be headed that way myself as my parents are up in years too.

Just hope things work out for Jr & he doesn't get his heart broken like his daddy did...

Joy, you are so right.

It is easy for us to want to make comparisons between Jr and his father. I guess we have tried to do that about looks before. As much as we all miss Freddie :crying: Junior is his own person. He and his new bride are obviously in love. Their friends all report this. They have been engaged for a while. I think it appears they did think this one out carefully. Knowing how the press hounds stars, I can see why they wanted to keep the time and location of the ceremony a secret. I remember another difference between father and son that was in the teen people over a year ago. Junior would be very happy to have his bride be the bread winner and he stay at home to take care of the kids. This sure was different from Freddie's attitude toward the role of his wife in the marriage. Remember he saw his mother work most of her life, work very hard, and he never wanted his wife to have to work. Every generation has different attitudes toward this. I think that SMG is most likely different from her mother in law as well. I don't know how she is personality wise, but we are all created differently, so she would have to be by default. As I tell my kids in school, viva la difference, because this would be a really boring world if we all were alike, huh!

I wish Freddie Jr and his new bride all the best. I hope they have all the kids they want and have a great life together, full of love and joy. My only prayer is that they would include his maternal grandmother in the family before it is her time to join her son. I know that this would make Maria truly happy.

I always thought they (Kathy and Freddie) had gotten married before she became pregnant.

It's sad that she (Maria) wasn't invited.Totally sad. :(

I've read she wasn't pregnant when they got married & then I read she was. I remember reading that Freddie said he wanted to do things the legal way & have the baby while married. I'd sure love to know which is right...

For a media who likes to think they were on top of things all the time, they really dropped the ball on Freddie's relationship with Kathy. They couldn't get anything straight. They couldn't seem to report the right date for his wedding ( I have copies of magazines where the dates are wrong) and they can't add either. If Freddie Junior was born in March and they only got married the previous October, duh, that is only 5 months. Freddie's journal records the fact that they got pregnant in June, the correct time period. (This is in his mother's book, the only reliable source if you ask me) So the old saying is true, don't believe everything you read in the papers! LOL

Well, I have read the book and I have also read certain articles on the internet regarding the issue. To be honest, it has confused me and I should've explained my thought on the issue differently.I should've stated that at one point I had thought that she had gotten pregnant after they had gotten married because in my previous post, I made myself sound as if I had believed that to this day.

But I agree, you shouldn't believe everything that you read.

SitcomsAreTheWay, I didn't mean to imply that you were not justified in your confusion on this issue. I know it was made confusing by the inaccuracy of the reporting of it at the time. I have collected numerous articles from eBay on Freddie (I am obsessed with this man, I admit it!) and I have found a lot of confusing reporting in them. I can understand why people are confused. I just wish those who say they are in the know (the media) really were and reported accurately. Alas, we don't live in a perfect world, do we?
BTW I LOVE your signature. That is just how I feel about him "All Freddie, all the time!" That says it all! :D

I have read so much different stuff I dunno what to believe. It is so confusing! Thanks for clearing that up for us!

You should've seen me last night, I actually opened his biography up and refreshed my memory regarding the issue even though I had already read what had actually happened. I was saying to myself, "Okay. March, April, May, June." and etc.

I think I had rushed through the book without actually reading that part thoroughly (at the time I had first received it) and I think that also contributed to my confusion at the time.

I think the media is more focused on having something to print and talk about than they are regarding whether the story or article is true or not, I really don't think they care either way. As long as they have some type of news on someone no matter how bizarre it may be, they'll still get paid.

Yep! All Freddie, All The Time. I'm not worthy. :notworthy

In this week's People Magazine, the wedding gets one column and no mention of a famous father--although they do quote Kathy about how happy she is when she sees Jr. and SMG together. They state Mom's age as 52.

I honestly think that she is overjoyed that Jr. is all grown up now and married. It seems like only yesterday that he was a baby and she was married to his father. Time really does fly. :)

Nothing about Maria and the only picture was one of Jr. and SMG at the Kids' Choice Awards.

Too bad they don't have a pic of Frederico in it. :( I can't wait to go to town next Tues so I can go to the bookstore & Walmart & look at all the magazines & ENQUIRER type papers to see if there is anything on the wedding in them & anything of Freddie in it. Whatever stuff has Freddie in it I will have to buy it... :)

This coming week's Enquirer has a two page article with photos of the location and the dinner the night before. This week's US magazine has a five page spread, plus they're on the cover. One of the articles mentions Freddie Jr's great aunt Katie Prutzel(that's how they spelled it) who lives in Palm Beach, FL.

I know we have many super sleuths in our Freddie family....all I could find out was that her full name is Kathyrn Prutzel and she sold her condo in Palm Beach in 2001. Maybe one of our "family" can find her....the Enquirer did.....good luck.

The articles are awesome and the location was magically beautiful.

I don't remember who asked...but in answer to the question about Sarah...I know a few people who have met Sarah in different situations(location shoots, about town) and they have all said she was very sweet, gracious and kind.

The British magazine, "Hello" has photos of the ceremony, bridesmaids and great shots of Sarah & Freddie. No mention of Freddie Sr., but terrific pictures and a good article. It's worth getting....their happiness shines through in the photo's.
