With both "Family Affair" and "The Flying Nun", as well as "Leave It To Beaver", now sadly missing from CTS's fall lineup, I was worried that I wouldn't have many good classic shows to watch in their absence but one station has for now unxpectedly solved that dilemma.

Ever since MTV went on the air in 1981, many similar stations have popped up all over the world. Canada is no different, giving us MuchMusic, which debuted around 1984, becoming so popular that it now has an American version, MuchMusic USA, as well as its own spin-off Canadian station, called MuchMoreMusic.

Around 1987, MTV began re-running episodes of "The Monkees" and 3 years later, it brought back "The Partridge Family". Both shows became big hits all over again for a new generation of fans and became a welcome sight for those who originally watched them as kids. Not wanting to miss a good thing when they see it, MuchMusic began airing "The Partridge Family" in 1991, and a year later the show was replaced by "The Monkees". Now both classic shows are back on MuchMoreMusic on a semi-regular basis airing back-to-back and still looking as great as ever. Here are this week's episodes:

Wednesday Sept. 4

5:00 Partridge Family
5:30 Monkees

Both series should feature their original pilot episodes.

Thursday Sept. 5

3:00 Partridge Family "The Sound Of Money"
3:30 Monkees "Monkee See, Monkee Die"

Sat. Sept. 7

5:00 Partridge Family "Whatever Happened To The Old Songs?"

5:30 Monkees "Monkees vs Machine"

Sun. Sept. 8

5:00 Partridge Family "See Here, Private Partridge"

5:30 Monkees "Your Friendly Neighborhood Kidnappers"

Check back here soon for more info on both shows and probable episode airings. I can't wait to see them both again! They're two of my all-time favourites!
