A couple of questions regarding the episode
'Amityville' the first episode after it went
into first run syndication. When Jason Pembroke (Michael Pearlman) returned for that one episode, did he look any different, how much so?. Also how many scenes did he
have in that episode. And was the house any different to the first series? Anyone's help to my questions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey!
To answer your questions, Jason Pembroke was a little taller on the "Amityville" episode (naturally, after almost 2 years!), but he didn't change much other than that. He was only around for a few scenes, mainly when Charles bumped into him trying to figure out why the Pembrokes transformed on him while he was away!
Jason and Adam had a very brief conversation, and there was one touching moment before Jason and Jill (not Julie Cobb) left for Seattle. As sad music played in the background, Charles asks Jason, "How am I going to grow up without you?" Jason then quickly hugs him and darts out the door without saying a word. I think those two were a little too close to give one another such a careless farewell. And I'll always be ticked off about the rest of the original cast being disregarded!
About the house: it was the same house used during the Pembroke era, but there was much more lighting.

I don't know, I have always thought that the farewell was rather well done. I mean, first of all, they had to get rid of the Pembrokes fast so they could make way for the Powells. Not only that, but it seemed right for a young kid to hug him and then run out before he lost it and started crying.
You have to admit, it was rather touching. Here's a question, did the Pembrokes ever make any other appearance on the show? And were they at least ever referred to in a subsequent show?

I agree with you guys. I guess they did they best they could with needing to get rid of the old family as quick as they could and as for the old cast maybe Jason was the only one that agreed to come back.....who knows? Still I think it would have been better if they could have had them all back and devoted that whole first new show to the Pembrokes and THEN bought on the Powells. By the way, I never heard them mentioned in any other shows however I never saw the ones where Gwyendolyn came back so they might be in there since that would be the lodgical place to mention the old family.

After Amityville, there were no more appearances(with the exception of Jennifer Runyon who played Gwendolyn Pierce) but the Pembrokes were refered to in the episode when Charles has an exaggerated dream about the Powells and when he wakes up he talks about the Pembrokes and the house. I can't remember in detail.

Yeah, Thomas is right. In an episode where Ellen Powell loses her job, and almost her home, Charles has a crazy dream/revelation that reminds him of the word "Pembroke." When he wakes up, he immediately runs to call either Mr. or Mrs. Pembroke (not really sure of which one), and they sort out the whole mess. However, they were never shown or heard on the episode. It's a shame that they never brought the Pembroke family back for a single show. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif
