Betty Gilpin, who is 37 today, is pictured at left above, with Alison Brie. Gilpin and Brie starred together on the three seasons of Netflix’s GLOW. Gilpin was a three-time Emmy nominee in the role of Debbie “Liberty Belle” Eagan.

Gilpin was born and grew up in New York City. Her father is actor Jack Gilpin, and she studied at Fordham University. She made her screen debut while a student at Fordham, in a guest appearance on Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Gilpin made a number of TV guest appearances starting in about 2008, and also appeared in a few small film roles. In 2013, she was added to the regular cast of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie for its final two seasons, in the role of Carrie Roman.
After Nurse Jackie ended, Gilpin had recurring roles on Elementary and Masters of Sex, before being cast on GLOW beginning in 2017. During the last several years, she has also appeared in major roles in films like Future ’38, Stuber, Coffee & Kareem, and The Tomorrow War. Last year, she starred as Maureen Dean on the Starz limited series Gaslit.
Earlier this year, Gilpin starred on the Peacock sci-fi limited series Mrs. Davis. She will be a regular on the upcoming Starz series Three Women, and is a voice actress for the new Netflix series Skull Island.
