The year was 2002 and Celine Dion had just released her comeback album A New Day Has Come and was just enjoying raising her son Rene-Charles when Chrysler had just debuted the new Pacifica van and little did we know that this car would soon make her a spokesman by starring in Chrysler commercials. The first commercial featured her singing her song Have You Ever Been In Love while the Pacifica is shown and while it was a smart choice Chrysler knew that by having Celine Dion in their commercials would sell a lot of Pacificas. A second commercial featured Celine Dion debuting her new song One Heart while the Pacifica is shown driving in the winter. Interestingly the commercial honored the release of a new album also called One Heart and shockingly One Heart was a Chrysler sponsored album because if you look at the disc tray the first thing you'll find is a Chrysler logo and the liner note photos feature Celine Dion seated in a Pacifica as well so you can see that Chrysler must've given Celine a huge mega million-dollar deal to do their commercials but why One Heart was released i'll never figure out because the song Have You Ever Been In Love also appeared on this album along with a ballad version of the song Sorry For Love from A New Day Has Come. I must admit after seeing these commercials my mother wanted to buy a Pacifica as our new family car and my family had a chance to test drive and we thought it was okay but at least I got the One Heart album. But thanks to Chrysler Celine Dion became a commercial star by moving on to becoming Clairol's spokesman by releasing commercials in English and French. As a Celine Dion fan myself I am amazed at what she can do and it seems that commercials were the easiest things for her to do
