Actors are calling for increased pay as well as progress on residuals paid for when films or shows are shown again, particularly on streaming services. They join 11,000 members of the Writers Guild of America, who have been on strike for two months. Also concern from actors, AI.
Some history on last Actors strike, it was I'm hearing in 1960, Ronald Reagan was a member of D party and musical hit performer was Chubby Checker.

It's good to see them standing up in solidarity.

After seeing this on the news, I guess the actors are objecting to the fact that studios, may be using AI and once they have a actors images and speech patterns, they will no longer need the actor and can make movies without them. Thus reducing the cost for making movies, AND actors salaries. The battleground
will be Who will OWN those images and speech patterns. The laws don't even exist yet. The options seem endless, ie with AI, the studios could have Clark Gable starring in a brand new movie! . . . would he then be eligible for a Oscar? It just goes on and on.
AI is not only coming for low paying jobs, but now it's coming for high paying jobs, too.

As I understood AI from the conception, gets rid of the human being and jobs jobs jobs....
There goes America, gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The country millions remember.
The AI youngsters don't know the real America. As I see it, those born 20 yrs ago or less, don't know the real America journey.

Remember back in 1997 when AI Fred Astaire was dancing in the commercial with the dirt devil vacuum and everyone thought the dead actors were going to make a comeback
