Once upon a time there were three little girls who went to the Police Academy…On September 22, 1976 Charlie’s Angels premiered on ABC and Jaclyn Smith entered our living rooms and our hearts. For more than three decades Jaclyn has held the public’s interest as an award-winning actress, designer, inspirational cancer survivor, and role model. I am honored that Jaclyn has agreed to be my guest in The Locher Room on Wednesday, September 30th at 2:30 p.m. EST. We will reminisce about her days as an Angel, talk about her career and her beautiful grandchildren, as well as discuss her incredible 35-year career as a businesswoman.

My very special guest for this episode is actress, Jaclyn Smith. She is the epitome of grace and style, and I am blessed to call her my friend. We met for the first time in 1989 here in Miami when she was launching her fragrance, California. But it was 18 years after that, when we met again in Washington, DC where we instantly formed a connection and bond that formed into a very special friendship that’s lasted 15 years.

I know many of you probably know her best as one of Charlie’s Angels, but Jaclyn’s career which has spanned nearly four decades, goes beyond that very famous series. As an actress, she’s appeared in more than 50 films and TV appearances, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of first lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, and in 1989 she earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In addition to being an actress, she’s a mother to her son Gaston, and daughter Spencer Margaret and now a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters. Jaclyn is also an entrepreneur who pioneered the concept of celebrity branding. Her clothing line with Kmart spanned 35 years and her line has been worn by over 100 million women. She’s now working with RGD Global with a new clothing line that will launch Fall of 22. Her brand also includes a line of wigs with lifelong friend and celebrity hairstylist, Jose Eber, a line of home décor fabrics with Trend Fabrics, and a skincare line that was developed in collaboration with her husband, Dr. Brad Allen.

If you're a fan of Jaclyn, this is one angelic conversation you don't want to miss.

Joe's Blackbook Sessions aims to inspire and connect communities through education and conversation on various topics.

Not only a Charlie's Angels star, Jaclyn is an entrepreneur who pioneered the concept of celebrities developing their own brands rather than merely endorsing others. She discusses with Ramon, a Merchant Leader, how she got started in her career, critical moments in her life & career, skill sets learned along the way, advice for the audience, etc.
