Sometimes people will leave SNL to pursue other acting or comedy opportunities. But sometimes they're fired for other reasons... and sometimes they're people who, until they suddenly left the show, were getting tons of airtime and seemed to be favorites of Lorne Michaels, but then were fired for one reason or another.
