The Clampetts think the billiard room is the dining room and the pool table is the dining room table. It appears the mansion came fully furnished, so where is the real dining room, and the real dining room table? And what do they think that is? There must be one.

Early on, they just thought the billiard table was to eat off of. Then at one point, someone came and taught Jed how to play pool (I think it was Mrs. Drysdale's father, who liked to gamble). In the most recent episode I watched Granny mentioned that Jed and Jethro sometime play a game on the table, but otherwise they use it for dinner.

I've asked this same question, and I've wondered it also. I have a book of TV home floorplans, it has the Clampett mansion floorplan and in it, is has the dining room next to the "parlor".... as you enter the parlor, turn right and on the wall we don't see ~where the camera would be~, there are double doors that lead into a big formal dining room. And the dining room leads directly into the little pantry that leads into the kitchen.

I remember us discussing what the Clampetts thought of the real dining room... Someone suggested that maybe the dining room was always closed off and perhaps the Clampetts just never found it lol While its doubtful they didn't enter the room during the 8 years they were there, I guess it's possible, as the Clampetts didn't seem overly CURIOUS about their surroundings.... they lived there about a week without going upstairs because they thought it belong to another family, and even when they found out it belonged to them, Granny didn't seem particularly interested in going up there.

Someone suggested they may have used the dining room for a slaughter room, Granny had to clean all those possums she cooked someplace... I HOPE that wasn't the case lol
