If you were given the following breakfast egg menu choices in the morning, which one would be your pick:

Scramble eggs with or without cheese, Sunny side up, Over Easy/medium/hard, Boil eggs or Omelet.

My pick would be Scramble eggs with cheese (two slices of American cheese) with side of order of toast or flour tortilla. With a dash of Tabasco sauce :D

Non-existent. I hate eggs.

I'm OK with eggs mixed into other stuff, but never by themselves.

Scrambled, no cheese . And I like hard boiled eggs in egg salad and chefs salad.

I like eggs in pretty much any style.

I usually go for scrambled w/ hot sauce or hard-boiled (white only).

Either of these

I swear I can't make a fried egg without breaking yolk....it doesn't affect the taste, but it makes me mad lol

A side question... when you have bacon and eggs, which is the side and which is the main food? I would always consider eggs to be the side since they remind me kinda like potatoes, and bacon is meat.... BUT at Waffle House, you order eggs and you get a choice of bacon or sausage

Me too! I can never get a fried egg to be perfect ! Like you said it doesn't affect the taste , so I don't mind if I'm just cooking them for myself and the Hubby. But if we have overnight guests and I make breakfast , it's like UGG , wish they would turn out looking right .

I love it ( if like me) the guests prefer scrambled eggs. Or I make French toast & sausage . ;)

Good question about which is the main and which is the side ? Like instead of which came first the chicken or the egg? It's which came first the bacon/sausage or the egg?

I consider bacon as a side dish since one can eat breakfast with or without it. To me, meat with eggs make the breakfast too heavy and instead of get up and go in the mornings, it make you want to take a nap :D

I am assuming when frying eggs, the eggs stick to the pan since they don't come out "looking" right. I found out it works better by putting the eggs in the frying pan when pan is warm rather than hot and sizzling. You would get less chance of eggs sticking to the pan :)

If I could only have ONE without the other, I'd probably opt for bacon, I guess that's why eggs seem like a side dish for me

What I do…..

Put some oil in a pan and heat it. Wait for the oil to get hot.

Scramble the eggs in a small bowl.

If available, chop up some onion.

If available, use some processed cheese and put it on after the eggs are in a pan.

My wife because she is Chinese likes to put soy sauce on them. She knows how to do it and it come out perfect. I overdo it and end up with black colored salty eggs.

Your wife probably cook the eggs Chinese "Wok" style with searing oil in the pan where the eggs come out thin , bubbly and delicious. Perfect for mix in the stir fry rice :)

I have never seen a wok since I have been in China.

My wife makes the best eggs. I just had some last night. I don’t know what she does but there is like almost a golden brown crust to them. I can’t duplicate that.

Sorry but it should be a crime to cook eggs in OIL instead of BUTTER lmao j/k

But seriously they are a lot better cooked in butter, also I add a little milk to them when I scramble them in the bowl. Maybe that's what your wife does to get a better taste.

I basically:

Break the eggs into a bowl, add about 1/4 or so cup of milk, salt and pepper, and beat them with a wire whisk, heat butter in frying pan on about med high, pour the mixture into the pan then further scramble them in the frying pan with a spatula for 10-15 seconds or so. If I'm making bacon, I will just cook them in the bacon grease.

That's how I always watched my grandparents fix them... later on my grandpa would start adding hot sauce, which I'd prefer without.

I haven't eaten eggs for breakfast since I was very young. My mom would soft-boil them and feed me strips of toast dipped in the warm yolks.

The closest I've come to an egg bkfst. as an adult was an egg mcmuffin near mid-day. Given the choice though I'd choose scrambled, with some shredded cheddar cheese.

When I was growing up, my grandmother and later my mom would make eggs for dinner on Fridays (when we would not have meat). They cooked them sunny side up, and also did potato slices in the same pan. Accompanied by an egg-lemon soup - "avgo-lemono" in Greek.:)
