Do any decent looking DVD sets exist of the 1984 Tales from the Darkside series that started with a 1983 pilot with the original music, since I've heard the commercially released DVD set has altered music? I remember a channel called Chiller TV used to rerun it, but I'm not sure if they showed it with the original score. Would anyone have a set of this show with the original music that was replaced in good condition?

The good news is that it's not every episode, it's most/all of season 1 and half of season 2 IIRC.

The bad news is that while Chiller did show the original score, they also edited several minutes out of each airing. And based on the few Chiller recordings I have managed to track down, they focused most of their edits on scenes without dialogue. Which are scenes that tend to have score. So even if you can find Chiller recordings, they're very likely to be incomplete.

I think I have a total of four or five episodes where all of the original music is intact.

One thing I haven't tried yet, there are a bunch of episodes that got released on VHS, I don't know if they have the original music or not but it's worth a shot if you want to spend some money on it.
