Since in America we celebrate our "Independence" in many ways.
There has been many changes to this holiday in my life time.
When I was younger most people didn't have to work on this day.
Today, it seems a lot of people do work.

In this poll there are 4 listed.
Which best matches your view?

THE POLL DIDN'T POST????

[ ] I think about the early Patriots and reflect from the break of England.

[ ] I think it’s a day off from work for most to enjoy cookouts and fireworks with friends and family.

[ ] I think we have less independence than we used to.

[ ] I think it’s a time to tune out all the bad news and be grateful we live in freedom

If this thread gets too hot im sure it will be moved to the political base.....

I think we have less freedom than we did in the 80s..... All this technolohgy has people trapped in a box and they dont even realise it!!

Today's 4th of July is nothing like the 4th that I grew up with.

Lots and lots of change, and granted I'm older but believe I'd feel the same
way no matter what age I am today.
