Night Court.

I don't know but I hope they air it soon. If they don't want to air it they should sell it to a channel that *does* want to air it!

They lose the rights in 2004. Not sure when, but Jan 1, 2004 sounds about right, it could be Fall 2004, who knows. But it is indeed 2004.

It was only dropped in May, so it could be back. 2 more years left. I'm sure it will return. I don't see why they don't have it on now... if they have the rights for 2 more years.

I don't know if Night Court is going to return on A&E. First, they shut down the message board at A&E.com. Then Night Court gets dropped from the schedule. Now, Night Court is off A&E's show list. So it looks like A&E may have gotten out of their deal.

But at least they still have NewsRadio, which returned after a 2 month hiatus in July with back to back episodes. Of course, one has to question why they would stop showing a series that ran for 9 seasons and double run a series that lasted half as long. The answer is popularity. Night Court was very popular in it's original run but hasn't been as popular in reruns. With NewsRadio, it's the other way around.

Well, yeah, probably popularity, but there could be another reason, maybe A&E will be losing the rights to NewsRadio soon, so they brought it back to finish out the contract? Makes sense I guess, since they have Night Court until 2004, they are probably just resting it for a while. I wonder how long A&E has L.A. Law for... A&E dropped it the same time as Night Court.
