Just in case anyone has missed the commercials, tomorrow night, TV Land is doing a "Miss TV Land Pageant" which will be a marathon of all beauty contest episodes. One episode shown will be "Rhoda the Beautiful" which is one of my faves. :) I just thought I'd make sure all the fans knew in case anyone hasn't seen it yet, or wants to tape it or something.

Who won the TV Land Miss Pageant by the way? I know there was more than four contestants because TV Land aired six shows in the pageant marathon.

If memory serves, it wasn't a "contest". There was no winner, just a set of shows stories involving beauty contests.

I think one of the funniest moments of that episode is when they're all trying to find a dress for Rhoda, and Phyllis sings the song - (of course Mary and Rhoda ignore her) - but she's so funny!

I agree. That was one of Cloris Leachman's best moments on the show! I also like the final scene between Mary and Rhoda. I think that's so sweet, and so true to how best friends are.
