I never knew why Cindy left the show, she just all of a sudden disappeared just like her cousin CHRISSY. If anyone knows let me know

Jenilee Harrison's contract with TC ran out. I guess the producers didn't feel her character was needed anymore.

So her contract was not renewed-well that makes sense-she was kind of tall-i guess the producers didn't want the replacement roomate to be taller than jack.

I doubt that they would fire someone on how they look. Cindy was just becoming less and less a part of the show as the season went on, I'm not surprised they didn't renew it with her. I think Jenilee and the rest knew that with Priscilla now on the show that she would be leaving it soon.

I don't think the producers liked her character very much. That's why Terri was brought in.

Was she taller than Jack? I didn't think she was, because sometimes she was wearing high heels. I don't know for sure though.

Yep, that's what I was thinking...

Although I don't know the real reason Cindy left the show, one thing to consider is that Cindy was considerably younger than Jack or Janet.

Suzanne was born in 1946. John was born in 1948. Joyce was born in 1949. Jennilee was born in 1959. Priscilla was born in 1955.

I think Cindy was always supposed to be short-term. After Three's Company, Jennilee was onto Dallas.

If my memory serves me correctly, I recall that Jennilee was brought in after an exhaustive search to replace Suzanne. The producers weren't happy with the replacement, so Priscilla was hired. I remember hearing that Jennilee took the news hard. The poor girl was so young, and she had big shoes to fill.
Did I get all this from the E! True Hollywood Story? I have no idea--just know I heard it somewhere.
For all the BS surrounding Suzanne's departure, and everyone has their opinions, I think the show was never the same without her. The character of Chrissy was special, and in my opinion, irreplaceable.

I strongly believe that the producers knew she wasn't the right replacement after her first episode.

Once again, I agree. I liked Cindy a lot, but the only really great of episodes of TC were with Chrissy...

Actually it's only one great episode with Cindy and it comes on TNN tomorrow-The episode when jack faked his death because of a Jealous ex-boyfriend Great Great Episode.

Yes that episode is one of my favorites-In my opinion the two best episodes of three's company is when jack was afraid to fight both men-The other one was shown last night on n@n when jack was in the reagle beagle with janet and chrissy and that tall guy came over to the table-Those two episodes are the best.

I remember reading in TV Guide once that Jenilee was fired because, and I quote, "she didn't register on the jiggle meter." Their words, not mine.

I doubt it had anything to do with the 'jigglemeter' as they said, LOL. I read that Jenilee was kept on because the latter half of season five had improved ratings. Jenilee was just to young for most of the jokes they had given Suzanne and Priscilla. At least that's what the producers have said

The producers should have replaced suzanne somers with the girl who Mr. angelino was sleeping around with over top of Jack's bistro-She was blonde and i feel she would have been a good choice. I don't what it was-but cindy and terri was lacking something-It's a good thing jack was funny enough for all three's roomates.
