Yes, it's finally happening. An Intimate Portrait on Bea is IN THE WORKS! An article in a Cambridge, MD newspaper from a few days ago said the production team is in town shooting and doing interviews (Cambridge is where Bea grew up) for it now.

I don't know how long these things take to put together but perhaps we'll be seeing it by next spring (my guess).

Well, I'm glad to hear that something is going to be done on her. She's had an amazing career (that's still going), yet I really don't know a lot about her past.

Up until now, why hasn't Bea had an interview for Intimate Portrait? As far
as Betty White, Bea probably won't let
Betty be a part of it.

I very highly doubt that Betty will be on Bea's IP. Bea was the only Golden Girl who wasn't on Betty's and obviously there had to be a reason. It was filmed over the course of several months, so it's not like Bea was just "busy that day."

I also really doubt that Estelle will be on it due to her failing health. On the upcoming TV Tales, Rue, Betty and Bea were interviewed but past footage of Estelle was used.

So actually... Rue will probably be the only Golden Girl on Bea's IP. I'm sure she'll be on it since they co-starred on both Golden Girls and Maude.

I thought Bea would never have an IP. This is great news.

Finally, Bea Arthur is going to be on Initimate Portrait on Lifetime!! I made a silly mistake and put what I wanted about Bea Arthur on Initimate Portrait on the Maude post! That was silly!! Anyway, when is it going to be on??? Maybe they'll have a Golden Girls Initimate Portrait marathon leading up to the Bea Arthur episode!!! Hooray!!:happyface

It's about time Bea got an Intimate Portrait! I thought maybe she just didn't want one done on her...Can't wait to see it. I do think it would be nice if Betty was included, but I suppose she won't be due to this unknown 'feud' of theirs.
