Is Frasier too smart a sitcom for some people to "get"? What I mean is, I've heard several people on these boards complain that shows like Frasier, Taxi and Cheers were to adult and complicated to enjoy. Most of the jokes were over their heads.

I think Frasier is a smart show and even if you don't get all the jokes its still entertaining imo. I admit I don't get all the jokes but I do think its funny when Martin takes Niles and Frasier to sports games.

But that's what I LOVE about the shows! It's so refreshing... most of the other sitcoms out there are just slapstick funny or a bunch of mumbo-jumbo junk!!! LOL Dear Lord! A show possessing some intelligent banter, clever jokes, witty humor!? How dare they!!

I think 'Frasier' is a great alternative to the other sit-coms I enjoy, like childish, family humor in 'Full House', simple humor a la 'Married with Children' and even simpler humor in 'It's like, you know...'
'Frasier' is great and sometimes very subtile and has always a decent story in it, that's what I like in it.
