Ted Lasso was always a surreal show that owned its over-the-top positivity, however absurd many of its moments would feel in the real world. But as the seasons go on, having almost all of the characters evolve to a state of such emotional health and to be guided in all their decisions by kindness and self-sacrifice, feels disconnected from human nature and how almost everyone we know acts.
