The "Bewitched" update will focus on Tabitha Stevens, the 13-year-old daughter of witch Samantha and human Darrin. She juggles two lives attending middle school while also being secretly enrolled in a magical academy run by her grandmother, Endora.

I like the idea, though I wonder how similar it will be to the "Sabrina" animated series of the 2000s that targeted the same age group. Also, Aunt Hagatha ran the school on the show, not Endora. I doubt they'll care too much about catering to the fans, but maybe they'll come up with a reason that Hagatha's not running it anymore. Or Endora is just helping, years after the plot between Hagatha, Endora, and Enchantra to kidnap Tabitha and take her there. I wonder if they'll reference that. Probably not, but I can dream.

Although I didn't like the circus setting of "Tabitha and Adam and the Clown Family," an animated Hanna-Barbera series with them in the 1970s I think could've worked if they had done other things instead- maybe like solving mysteries in a "Scooby Doo" crossover and the like.

Some things I wish they'd include:

- Tabitha's mortal friend Lisa. I think she should've come back on the show after "Sisters at Heart." High schoolers were better "Bewitched" writers than the real ones at that point with all the remakes, ha.
- Other witchy characters we know and love besides Samantha, Darrin, and Endora, of course- Aunt Clara, Dr. Bombay, Uncle Arthur, Serena, Esmeralda, Adam (with powers as he should have, unlike the live-action "Tabitha")
- I wonder if it'll be set in the 1970s or the present day. Obviously I'd prefer the '70s, but am not the target audience.
- Maybe Erin Murphy (original Tabitha) voicing Samantha and Chris York (son of Dick York) voicing Darrin?

I like the idea of using the Lisa character. I also agree about that unique episode written by the high school class--it's one of my favorites.

Funny I used to think there was an animated version of the show, based on the animated opening.... I also thought the same about I Dream of Jeannie, which there IS an animated version but it's nothing like the show
