Thanks everyone for your suggestions I chose to do the one about Uncle Billy leaving Beaver one of his prized possesions I hope you all enjoy it.
.........................................................................................................

The time period for this episode will be when Wally is just entering college and Beaver is in highschool about 15 years of age.

The scene starts out in the Cleavers living room. Ward is on the couch engrossed in a letter and June is also in the living room dusting.

June- Whats so interesting?

Ward- Its a letter from Uncle Billy.

June- Uncle Billy? Ward Uncle Billy has been dead for at least six months now.

Ward- (studying the letter) I mean its a letter from his lawyer, its a copy of Uncle Billy's will it seems they are just now getting everything in order.

June(concerned) Well is everything allright?

Ward- It would seem that Uncle Billy has left the boys some items in his estate.

June- What?

Ward- I was getting to that now(reading aloud) Dear Ward
I hope this letter finds you well. If you are reading this your good ole Uncle Billy has passed on. I hope you and June arent too dissapointed that I didnt leave you too anything, but I figured you are pretty established now, and you wouldnt need any of my money. I did however want to give the boys a gift of onethousand dollard each for their college funds. I am also leaving Wally my collection of fishing rods, and to Beaver Im leaving him my genuine German motorcycle. I realize that Beaver is now at the age that he will be wanting a vehicle and I thought he would enjoy this motorcycle much more, I promised him so much when he was a little fellow, so I thought I would make it up to him now.....

June(flabbergasted) A motorcycle! Ward you cant let the Beaver have a motorcycle their so dangerous!

Ward(taken aback a bit) Well, June it is Uncle Billy's last wishes

June- I dont care Ill not have my baby boy riding around Mayfield on a motorcycle like some...some...criminal!

Ward- Now dear! Im not going to let Beaver ride it he's only 15.

June- And what about when he turns 16 and he is old enough, are you going to let him ride it then? Oh Ward, what if he joins one of those gangs and starts wearing one of those Black jackets?

Ward(finding this amusing) June Im sure Beaver wont be joining any gangs.

June- Well you are certainly going to have to do something about this!

Ward(embracing June) Dont worry dear Ill think of something to tell the Beaver.

About this time Beaver enters the room and hears the last part of the conversation.

Beaver- Tell me what dad?

June- Beaver, its almost time for supper go ahead upstairs and wash up.

Beaver- Gee, everytime something good is going on I have to go upstarirs and wash my hands.

Beaver gives in and goes upstairs.

June- Oh why couldnt Uncle Billy have given the Beaver something more sensible.

Ward- Something tells me that he had probably already given away all of his woodworking kits.

June gives Ward a look of dissaproval.

End of scene one

Hey, this is great! I'm finding it really interesting because my life was changed when I was 14 and had a near-fatal motorcycle wreck while trailriding. I'm looking forward to more... keep up the good work!

Scene two begins at the dinner table. Ward, June and Beaver are eating their supper eggplant parmesan.

June- Beaver how is your eggplant?

Beaver- Oh good mom.....say what were you and dad talking about earlier

June looks over to Ward as if to say "youve got to do something"

Ward- Well Beaver we recieved a letter today from your Uncle Billy's estate

Beaver- What do you mean his estate?

Ward- Well, Beaver its about Uncle Billy's will

Beaver- Oh....Well what does that have to do with me?

Ward- Youre Uncle Billy left both you and Wally something

Beaver- Gee! Really? What?

Ward- He left you and your brother a thousand dollars each for your college funds and he left Wally his collection of fishing rods...

Beaver- That dirty rat Wally he's always getting the good stuff, I bet I got a suit or something like that!

Ward surprised at Beavers selfishness lets his next comment kind of slip

Ward- No Beaver he actually left you a motorcycle.

Beaver just sits there silent for a moment and then smiles

Beaver- Wow! A motorcycle! Ill be the only guy at Mayfield highschool that has his very own motorcycle!

June- Now Beaver you.....

Beaver- Oh man! I cant wait to tell Gilbert. Mom can I be excused?

June- Well I suppose so, but...

Beaver- Wow I never believed anyone would ever give me anything this good!

Beaver runs out of the room into the den.

June- Ward why didnt you tell him he wont be able to ride it?

Ward- June! Youre the one who excused him and besides did you see his face? I just couldnt let him down in his moment of triumph.

June- Well you had better soon or before you know it he will be putting grease in his hair and wearing a white t-shirt with blue jeans.

Ward- Now June! He'll do nothing of the sort, Ill straighten it out

June- Well you had better or I will.

Ward gives June a slight smile and that ends scene two

Scene 3 begins in the living room. Beaver is on the phone talking to Gilbert telling him the news. Ward walks in while Beaver is on the phone.

Beaver(talking to Gilbert) Yea, thats right Gilbert a real motorcycle! My Uncle Billy left it to me in his will, its gonna be real keen.

Ward- Beaver if you have a moment Id like to talk with you.

Beaver(still talking to Gilbert)Gilbert Ill tell you more about it tomorrow at school, Ive got to go dad wants to talk to me. See you tomorrow.

Beaver hangs up the phone and he is still beaming with excitement.

Beaver- Dad this is the neatest thing Uncle Billy ever did. I mean Im sad that he's not here anymore, but man a real motorcycle!

Ward- Yes Beaver I could see how this would be very exciting for you.

Beaver- Dad, dont you and Mom worry either Im gonna be real careful on it, Im always going to wear the helmet and I'll never speed, and Ill always be courteous Oh dad I just cant wait till it gets here.

Ward- Slow down Beaver, Youre only 15 your not even old enough to ride it yet.

Beaver- Gee I know dad but I will be in a few months I just cant wait. Im excited is all!

Ward- Well Beaver I hate to dissapoint you but Im going to have to have a talk to you about the motorcycle.

Beaver(shocked) What? Did it get messed up in shipping or something? Thats ok we can fix it.

Ward- No nothing like that.

Beaver(obviously concerned) Well gee dad what?

Ward- Well Beaver Your mother and I simply cant let you ride it is what, we both feel that a teenager in highschool does not need to be riding a motorcycle.

Beaver(pleading) Oh please dad! I told you I would be very careful!

Ward- No Beaver, Im afraid not. Your mother and I both decided that you'll be allowed to keep the motorcycle since it was your Uncle Billys last wishes, but you wont be able to ride it until you are 18 and more responsible.

Beaver(dejected) Oh so thats it. Why dont you just lock me up in my room until I'm 18 so that I dont get killed or something.

Ward- Now Beaver try and understand your mothers and my point of view here.

Beaver- Oh I understand allright. You and mom think that Im a stupid kid and that I cant take care of myself, I bet if Wally had of gotten the motorcycle you would have let him ride it.

Ward(irritated) That will be enough of that young man! If you are going to take that type of attitude you can just go upstairs and spend the rest of the evening.

Beaver- Ok, Ok, Im going

Beaver walks up the stairs and comes the closest he has to crying in years. June then walks into the room.

June- How did he take it dear?

Ward- Not very well Im afraid.

June(reassuring Ward) I suppose not but it was for the best.

Ward- Then why do I feel like a bully that just took lunchmoney away from a smaller kid?

June hugs Ward and the scene ends

Sorry guys ive been gone

.........................................................................................................

The next scene starts with Beaver laying on his bed, and June enters the room

June- Beaver, Do you mind if I come in?

Beaver- Go ahead youre going to anyway arent you?

June- Beaver dont you understand why your father and I cant let you ride that motorcycle?

Beaver- Yea, I understand allright you and Dad like ruining everything for me.

June(trying to console) Now Beaver thats not it at all. Your father and I just dont want you getting hurt you do understand don't you?

Beaver(contemplating) I guess so but it sure isnt going to help with the guys, besides I already told Gilbert I would be riding it when I turn sixteen.

June- Beaver I know youre dissapointed now but please try to understand that this is for your own good.

Beaver- Oh I figure its for my own good, but sometimes things that are for your own good are real hard to take.

June smiles and hugs Beaver and leaves the room

The scene changes to the following morning when The family is eating breakfast.

Ward- Beaver, You have an algebra test today dont you?

Beaver(obvioulsy still sulking)- Yes father.

Ward- Well, Are you prepared?

Beaver- I suppose so father.

June tries to change the subject

June- Beaver, You and Gilbert made the football squad didnt you? Are you excited?

Beaver- Yes mother we are excited.....Im finished eating may I be excused now? I need to get off to school.

Ward looks at Beaver in disbelief as he walks out of the house.

Ward- I just dont know what its going to take to get through to him that he is not old or responsible enough to ride that cycle.

June- Try an understand Ward, how you would have felt at his age.

Ward smiles gently at June.

Ward- You know I suppose you are right, I suppose I would feel pretty badly.

June- Do you suppose he will ever forgive us?

Ward- Im sure he will dear, but until that time I have a feeling things are going to be as the kids say "weird" around here until then.

The next scene is at Mayfield Highschool where Beaver and Gilbert are talking in the hallway between classes.

.........................................................................................................

Gilbert- Boy Beav, What a tough break.

Beaver- Yea!

Gilbert- Well thats how parents are, everytime something neat happens to a kid the parents always come along and mess it up for you.

Beaver- I know, its like they dont care about anything thats important to me.

Gilbert- Yea, my parents are the same way. Like just last month my grandmother sent me fifty whole dollars and told me I should spend it on myself, and my father made me put it in the bank.

Beaver- Yea!

The bell rings and both boys head into class and the scene changes

The scene changes to after school and Beaver and Gilbert are walking home.

Gilbert- Boy Beaver, I bet its gonna be real neat to have your very own motorcycle.

Beaver- Yea, its neat allright but it would be a whole lot neater if I could ride it.

Gilbert- Yea, thats tough Beav, what are ya gonna do about it?

Beaver- I dont suppose there is much I can do, Mom and Dad are serious about not letting me ride it until Im older.

Gilbert- Well Beav look at it this way you are still the only guy at Mayfield high with his own motorcycle .

Beaver- Yea I guess so.

About that time the boys walk buy the old firestation where Gus works and Beaver decides that he needs to go visit, or perhaps he was just looking for sympathy from his old friend.

Beaver- Hey Gilbert I think Ill go over to see Gus for a while do you wanna come?

Gilbert- I'd like to Beav but I really got to get on my algebra homework.

Beaver- Ok see ya Gil

Gilbert- see ya beav

Beaver walked up the walkway to the old firehouse and peeped into the garage and saw Gus sitting behind his old desk with his hat over his eyes taking a nap. Beaver not wanting to bother him while he is sleeping decides to come back another time and starts to walk away.

Gus- Beaver Cleaver! Youre not gonna just walk away without saying hello to an old friend are you?

Beaver- Oh hi Gus I thought you were sleeping.

Gus- I was just taking forty winks, What brings you here Beav? I havent seen you in about a year.

Beaver- Sorry about that Gus, I guess I been busy with high school and stuff

Gus- Oh I understand, Youre getting older now theres not much time in a teenagers life for a washed up fireman like me

Beaver- Its not that at all Gus,

Gus- I know Beaver I was just going on with ya.So whats bothering you Beaver?

Beaver- Nothings bothering me Gus I just wanted to visit

Gus- I may be old but Ive known you long enough when something is bothering you Beaver why dont you tell old Gus?

Beaver(hesitating) Well its my parents Gus, they never let me do anything I want to do, they think Im an irresponsible stupid kid.

Gus- Oh I see and you know that since you are older now that you are more responsible now right?

Beaver- Yea Gus thats it, I knew you would understand

Gus- What is it your parents wont let you do Beaver?

Beaver(confident now that Gus was on his side)- Well my uncle Billy left me a motorcycle in his will and my parents say I have to be eighteen before I ride it. There afraid Ill do something stupid and get hurt.

Gus- And you know that youre responsible enough to ride the motorcycle now?

Beaver- Yeah!

Gus- Beaver, Why dont you sit down over here for a minute?

Beaver(seeing where this is heading)- OH no Gus youre not gonna turn on me too are you?

Gus- Just sit down for a minute and let me tell you something

Beaver(reluctant) Ok

Gus walks over to the wall and pulls down a picture frame and dusts it off and hands it to Beaver.

Gus- Beav do you know who that is?

Beaver- No

Gus- That was my son Elliott.

Beaver- I didnt know you had a son Gus. Where does he live?

Gus- He died several years ago Beav.

Beaver(sorry he opened his big mouth) Im sorry Gus, I didnt know.

Gus- Thats allright Beaver, You know Beav Elliott was a lot like you.

Gus paused for a second as Beaver could see that talking about him made him somewhat emotional.

Gus- Beaver when Elliott turned 13 years old He had a fit for his own horse, We lived on a farm I had a horse and Elliott thought that he was getting older so he should have one too. Well his mother and I thought he was too young to have his own horse and we told him that he would have to wait until he was a bit older. That child sulked around for weeks he was so dissapointed, until finally I went and bought him his very own horse. Well He was really good with that horse Beaver and he handled it so well, but one day Elliott and I were out in the field riding together and a storm brewed up. Well beaver I dont know what you know about horses but they sure dont like storms. We were half way on or way home when a big stroke of lightning struck and made the loudest clap of thunder I believe ever heard. Elliott wasnt strong enough to control her and she went wild she ran off and Elliot was hanging on for dear life She bucked and bucked and there was nothing i could do She bucked one last time and Elliott went flying off the horse and hit his head on a rock and it killed him.

Beaver- I never knew that Gus, Im sorry.

Gus- I havent ever told many people about it Beav, my point is this. Your parents are always looking out for you Beav. They probably know that youre able to ride that cycle but they are weary of it because of their insticts. Beaver if I had followed my instincts who knows Elliott might still be here today.

Beaver then realized that he was being selfish and he was ashamed of the way he had been acting and he was even more ashamed of coming to Gus for sympathy.

Beaver- I guess I need to be getting home now Gus.

Gus- Just remember what I told you Beaver your parents love you youre gonna have kids one day too most likely and youre gonna see what old Gus meant.

Beaver- Gus when I was a kid I thought you were the smartest person in the whole world and I still do.

Gus- That means a lot to me Beaver, Hey listen Im getting old so dont let it be another year before you come and see me eh?

Beaver(smiles) Sure thing Gus.

The final scene takes place in the living room where Ward is reading the paper and June is sitting next to him.

June- Ward was it a tough week at the office?

Ward- Not too bad dear, but Fred has been particularly annoying.

They both share a mutual smile and Beaver comes from down stairs and looks at his parents.

Ward- Hello Beaver, Is there something we can do for you?

Beaver- No, Dad I just wanted to talk to you and Mom.

June- Well whats on your mind Beaver?

Beaver- Its about the motorcycle.

Ward- Do we really have to go through all of that again Beaver?

Beaver- Oh no Dad its not that.

Ward- Well, then what is it?

Beaver- I want you to sell it, and put the money in my college fund.

Ward(obviously surprised) Beaver are you sure?

June- I thought you really wanted that motorcycle?

Beaver- Well I do, but I think it would be best if I sold it and saved it for my college, I think Uncle Billy would want me to if thats what I wanted.

Ward(pleased) Yes Beaver I think your Uncle Billy would have wanted you to enjoy it whatever way you see fit.

June- Oh Beaver Im so glad that you feel this way, What made you change your mind?

Beaver- Well I got to thinking about it and I figured that you and Dad are always doing things for my own good and this had to be one of them.

Beaver then walked out of the room and went back upstairs to his room

June- Oh Im so glad that Beaver came to his senses and saw that we were just looking out for him

Ward(puzzled) Im not so sure thats it dear.

June- Than what do you suppose it is?

Ward- Im not sure, but when dealing with a teenager its always best to leave well enough alone.

They both share a mutual smile and June hugs Ward and the scene fades to black.

.........................................................................................................

I hope you all enjoyed it!

Great story! I particularly liked the fact that Wally was away at college and Beaver had to solve his own problem.

Also, Uncle Billy always said that Beaver was his favorite nephew, so it is fitting that Billy would leave Beaver something unique in his will.

Looking forward to reading more of your "Beaver" stories!
