I believe it's for copyright reasons. The best way to watch the last 5 seasons is if you have a free subscribtion to PlutoTV. I believe Pluto is not allowed to broadcast the seasons that are on DVD.

I know that Pluto airs some season 2 episodes.

iheard the music was too expensive for them to get the rights to. i assume we'll never see those shows again. certainly not with the original music.

Many fans of the show probably won't purchase the last seasons because the quality went way downhil.

It's okay to disagree with this.

True, I have scene both parts of Fonzie's Funeral and Potsie Quits School on Pluto, which are from season 6.

Kinda makes since. MOST fans don't like the last seasons, meaning they won't sell. If they do get released, they'll probably package them with the seasons 1-6 set, as a "Complete Series" set.

I think the reason we haven't seen them is poor sales. It took a long time for seasons 1-6 to come out, with long gaps between the sets in some cases.

And the music substitutions' are pretty bad -- inao many cases, it's generic background music dubbed in over the original music or these bad songs from some guy I've never heard of, where you know there was a different song on the original telecast.

On top of that, no bonus stuff like interviews, documentaries, or commentaries on episodes and they do come up feeling a big slight.

I still wish they would at least do season seven (adding the crossover episode with Laverne & Shirley that finishes a two part story begun on HD), so that I would have the golden years of the show.
