When it was announced that Malcolm In The Middle would debut on FOX people thought it would become a one hit wonder and be cancelled. But I was surprised at how Malcolm In The Middle became a strong hit for FOX and I never figured it out? Because the way I see it FOX wanted to show a family oriented sitcom to get a new audience to the channel and Malcolm In The Middle was the ticket. I also think it gained Frankie Muniz a chance at stardom because due to Malcolm In The Middle Frankie became huge and got roles in movies such as the Agent Cody Banks series and My Dog Skip and was seen in the Disney Channel movie Miracle In Lane 2 and if it wasn't for Malcolm In The Middle Frankie Muniz would've never been a huge star. I also can't figure why why they got They Might Be Giants to sing the theme song because when you look at it that theme song has unappealing lyrics and is a bullying song and perhaps if they just used the instrumental for the theme song it might have been better
