In America Burger King Wendy's Taco Bell and McDonald's are the top places in the fast food world. But in The Philippines there is Jollibee which some people refer to it as the biggest fast food chain in The Phillippines second to McDonald's. Jollibee has been around for a long time in the Phillippines and like McDonald's has put out commercials that are classics. One of their most famous commercials is one that is referred to as the classic "Jennifer" commercial. I think this commercial debuted in 1982 on Philippine TV channels and is in Tagalog "which is the official language of The Phillippines" but it might have an English subtitled version. When the commercial begins a little girl is seen with her mother going to eat at Jollibee but she forgets Jennifer which is her doll in the car and when the little girl and her mother return home all the little girl wants is her doll and so the commercial then shows the little girl now a woman working at Jollibee when she sees her daughter and her grandmother drive that same car and the daughter asks where Jennifer is and Jennifer is happily reunited with her former owner and the commercial ends with a look at the Jollibee foods. This commercial brings out a Paddington Bear like feeling to it and I can tell you anyone who sees this commercial can share a similar feeling with their special favorite toy or doll that they had as a child. Jollibee has just expanded to America and I wonder why Jollibee's American commercials aren't like this?
