I don’t think we will ever see the rest of “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “Petticoat Junction” on DVD or the rest of “I Love Lucy” on Blu-ray.

These are basically the only shows I’m interested in completing on physical media anymore.

Probably so unfortunately. Also the rest of My Three Sons and Happy Days we probably won’t get either.

Probably true, luckily I was able to record the unreleased Seasons of Happy Days from METV/Hub it’s probably the closet I will get to a release.

We’ll probably never see these on physical media, though I wish this weren’t true:
Chico and the Man
St. Elsewhere (remaining seasons)
Marcus Welby (remaining seasons)
Empty Nest
Archie Bunker’s Place (remaining seasons)
Benson (remaining seasons)
Silver Spoons (remaining seasons)
Who’s the Boss? (remaining seasons)
My Two Dads (Season 3)
What’s Happening Now!! (remaining seasons)
Blossom (remaining seasons)
Empty Nest
Golden Palace
The Love Boat (remaining seasons)
Room 222 (remaining seasons)

And others I’m sure I’m forgetting, but those above are the ones I’ve most given up hope for and it’s unfortunate since for a long time the majority of those I did think would see the light of day. Some on the list I knew were a foregone conclusion.

I love DVDs and have quite a few. Unfortunately, the world today seems to think that this is old technology now and they seem to have stopped mass releasing old TV shows.

I'm not sure why Shout (for example) gave up on classic TV. They used whatever source Sony (again, for example) gave them; most of the time you can tell it's 1990s-era videotapes. They looked pretty good for the most part, and required virtually no work on Sony's part (other than pulling the tapes) and very little on mastering--just run 'em onto DVDs. They could even do MOD.

I guess it's a little late to wonder about it now, but 5 years ago? Maybe not so much.
