Looking for the following half-hour syndicated versions of THE NIGHT GALLERY - these episodes had extra footage added for syndication. The syndication running time of the half hour episodes should clock in between 24-25 minutes without commercials - anything shorter has been edited.

Not sure the length of episodes (w/o commercials) were on "The SciFi Channel" or "RTV/RetroTV" when they aired them. The whole point is to get them in the original syndication length of 24-25 minutes.

THE HOUSEKEEPER
THE NATURE OF THE ENEMY
CLEAN KILLS AND OTHER TROPHIES
LONE SURVIVOR
THE DOLL
BOY WHO PREDICTED EARTHQUAKES
THE HAND OF BORGUS WEEMS
THE FLIP SIDE OF SATAN
MARMALADE WINE
HOUSE - WITH GHOST
CAMERA OBSCURA
THE PAINTED MIRROR
THE DIFFERENT ONE
LOGODA'S HEADS
GREEN FINGERS
THE TUNE IN DAN'S CAFE
THE MIRACLE AT CAMAFEO
THE GHOST OF SORWORTH PLACE
YOU CAN'T GET HELP LIKE THAT ANYMORE
LITTLE GIRL LOST
THERE AREN'T ANY MORE MACBANES

Short Segments combined for Syndication with added footage.

PHANTOM OF WHAT OPERA? (Show with-"Midnight Never Ends".)

BIG SURPRISE (w/"Quote The Raven" and "Professor".)
PROFESSOR PEABODY'S LAST LECTURE (w/"Big Surprise" and "Quoth the Raven")

Huh, that's interesting. I have a set of the show and bought the companion book as well, and this is the first I can remember hearing about the extra footage (unless I forgot).

My gut reaction is that they shot some extra footage for padding to sell the show as half-hour reruns (not sure why they didn't just sell it as an hour show since that's what it was).

Does anyone know if there was anything particularly interesting in the extra footage or if it was just padding?

The extra footage is a mix of stock footage and extended/additional scenes shot at the same time of the episodes original NBC broadcasts, but not used in the final network version due to time.

There are about 20 episodes that had to be cut to fit the 25 minute format, including "Little Black Bag" and "They are Tearing Down Tim Riley's Bar".

The reason they cut the series into half hours is it was easier to sell in syndication than an hour show.
