I consider myself lucky to have seen a Wienermobile twice in my lifetime.

Now I will have to keep an eye out for a Frankmobile.

Maybe they will decide to change the old jingle too --

Love seeing people get upset over a hotdog shaped vehicle getting its name changed.

The term wiener is very dated, I believe the change is related to that fact. It gives the product line a more contemporary feel, and also the term frank (short for frankfurter) has a slightly more upscale appeal. Many consumers tend to think of the Oscar Mayer product as base level which limits who the company can market to.

I don't have a "steak" in this, but you'd think if they're trying to change their appeal from base level, they'd also change the name on their package.

Also how common is the name frank/frankfurter? On the other hand, I guess it makes sense to use something other than "hot dog."
