Could anybody tell me what this show was about? I never really found out what it was about but i know it was funny so if anybody could give me a rough idea about what this show was about it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

*What's Happening was about 3 African American teens, Roger, Dwayne and Rerun, who go through everyday life. Raj aka Roger is an aspiring writer, Dwayne is the youngest of the friends and probably the goofiest. Rerun is the overweight wannabe professional dancer who has been left back in high school a couple of times.

*All three friends hang out at the local Malt shop called "Rob's Place." Their friend Shirley is also a waitress at the place. The three all go there to eat, drink and talk about the days problems.

* Roger's parents are divorced and he lives with his 'Mama' and little, sarcastic sister Dee. Rerun lives with his older brothers.(I believe his parents died, but I'm not 100% sure.)

Something else you might want to consider about "What's Happ'ning"...it was the tv version of Eric Monte's "Cooley High" (of course you can see that in the closing cerdits), which, itself, was an African-American variation of George Lucas's "American Grafitti"...so I guess you could say "What's Happ'ning" is the African-American variation of "Happy Days"...(but don't say it too loud...)

sounds like a decent 70s sitcom.
