View Full Version : Fluoride the Good and Bad of It....
Caroline13 05-14-2023, 03:21 PM I have battled fluroidation from the "waste by products of industries" since the 80's.....
My grandson loves to do research and brings us a lot of smart info. He was talking to his mom about "natural" fluroide from the environment, rain for certain. People with well water, are getting fluoride but it's Natural"...
We in cities have fluoride in our waters from the fertilizer, lead, etc industries so it's bad stuff...... I fought it in our city back in the 80's when the "pushers" came here to SELL our city this poison.....our city fathers were bought....we have it now and it's been lowered in recent times as people have voiced their complaints.

Same with Natural Tobacco, the cig companies add a bunch of chemiclas to tobacco to get people addicted as they are.
I have never smoked and very glad I never did.
Dude111 05-14-2023, 11:01 PM Yup I avoid anything with flouride as its not good for you.....
Caroline13 05-15-2023, 01:39 PM This is all about the fact that there is OK fluoride that comes from mother nature, the stuff produced in industrial plants for mostly drinking is the toxic crap, made from WASTE from the plants....the fluoride industry is reaping HUGE profits..I see their money as dirty...but the country has got to keep producing businesses....the American capitalistic way.
Dude111 05-15-2023, 06:23 PM Yup and they dont care who they hurt!!!
James28 05-15-2023, 08:56 PM If you think fluoride is bad, then what do you think about the use of fluoride in toothpastes?
Fluoride, when used properly, can be a good way to strengthen your enamel and reduce your risk of cavities. I've already had three teeth extracted (all lower molars). I thought brushing twice a day with a toothpaste that contains fluoride was good for the people who are just afraid of losing all of the permanent teeth they have left. I've continued this habit ever since my first extractions almost a decade ago, for fear of getting any more extractions.
Caroline13 05-15-2023, 10:42 PM Personally I do not use Fluoridated toothpaste, I don't think I ever bought that stuff. That stuff in the TP is from the industrial brew so no. And know too, the industrial fluoride is in all drinks, juices, soda drinks, beer, wine...
Actually I stopped using all commercial toothpasts in te 1980's, they all contain chemicals. Started buying my toothpasts at health food stores and online health stores.
Dude111 05-16-2023, 01:23 PM Flouride in toothpaste is aweful........ It weakens stuff and can cause other problems also......
Caroline13 05-16-2023, 02:18 PM To me it's just plain good sense to avoid "F" toothpaste.
Did a little search and Dr Google says this:
Why avoid fluoride in toothpaste?
The reason for these recommendations is because when too much fluoride is ingested, it is toxic. Excess fluoride ingestion is linked to dental fluorosis, a condition that causes tooth enamel to become discoloured and which when present can indicate that the rest of your body has been overexposed to fluoride as well.Aug 18, 2018
Dude111 05-16-2023, 04:00 PM They know it can weaken the wills of people also, making them docile robots!! (They did that in germany or somewhere over there to make them easier to control)
GoldenTV 05-16-2023, 05:37 PM I asked my dentist what is the best toothpaste to use, and he recommended Crest Pro-Health toothpaste. It is made with Stannous fluoride as oppose to regular fluoride, thus little bit more expensive than regular toothpaste.

Caroline13 05-16-2023, 06:47 PM Dentists don't know SH++ about good dental health, they need us to have bad dental health for us to continue to see them............a more natural holistic dentist would not say Crest....
He didn't tell you all that is in the tube:
Active Ingredient: Stannous Fluoride 0.454% (0.14% W/V Fluoride Ion). Inactive Ingredients: Water, Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Carrageenan, Sodium Gluconate, Flavor, Xanthan Gum, Zinc Citrate, Stannous Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Saccharin, Sucralose, Titanium Dioxide, Blue 1.
Even has blue dye

Since you trust Dr Google more than a real dentist, what brand toothpaste would Dr Google recommend? Enquiring minds want to know :)

Good to know, for everyone who eats toothpaste.

I don't ask Dr. Google for a TP brand, I've done a lot of research for myself. I have developed a strong distrust for the Western Medical world of $$$$$.
I've been using Now Foods TP for some yrs now, and originally made my own coconut oil TP but found the Now Foods and I like it a lot and add a tad of baking soda and drops of clove to the jar I make up from the tube.
I am showing the Now Foods brand.

Caroline13 05-17-2023, 02:29 PM You can do a search on IQ's lowered by fluoride....lots out there.
And thankfully the Wise companies produce baby toothpaste with NO fluoride as parents start to train their babies young on dental care.
What year did they start putting fluoride in toothpaste?
1956. Crest, the world's first fluoride toothpaste, is released nationally. Fluoride toothpastes become very common in developed countries by the mid-1960s, and many other fluoridated oral care products are created over the next few decades.
Our 3 children in my family grew up with fluoridated faucet water but we got loaded more with denntal fluoride in 1956
Caroline13 05-17-2023, 03:00 PM Dentists talk concern as patients use less fluoride TP's...

The last sentence of the above article:
Some dentists also said the most effective way to prevent cavities is simply to reduce sugars in the diet.
Sugars are the huge culprit for many damaging health issues....
James28 05-17-2023, 03:46 PM What about charcoal toothpaste? It's actually worse than fluoride toothpaste will ever be.
The abrasiveness of charcoal toothpaste may wear down tooth enamel.
There's no evidence about it being effective enough for whitening, and charcoal toothpaste won't remove stains below the enamel.
Charcoal toothpaste usually doesn't contain fluoride.
The long-term effects and safety of charcoal toothpaste are unknown.
If you ask me, who the heck would invent charcoal toothpaste? LOL
Caroline13 05-17-2023, 05:42 PM Here is the company I buy most of my supplements and they list a charcoal coconut oil TP they sell, lots of reviews, close to 10K. I've never used it.

Dude111 05-17-2023, 05:58 PM Good to know, for everyone who eats toothpaste. It doesnt matter if ones eats it or not Stevie,if it goes in your mouth it will most likely enter your system!
1 time I was at this place and they tried to give me a sleeping pill..... I hid it under my tounge and threw it out when they walked away... The little bit that got in my mouth did affect me.... I slept pretty good..... I did wake up once and I remember waving to a lady at the desk....
Good thing I didnt take it,it would have knocked me out for who knows how long!! (It was stronger than I needed) -- But now I wish I had something stronger to help me fall asleep!!
Ah well........

I prefer Dr. Bing or Dr. Duck Duck Go, myself.

I think this sentence in your link article said it all:"That view (using flouride) was underscored this week by an article in the dental journal Gerodontology that reviewed the scientific literature on cavities. Its primary conclusion is that, without fluoride, oral hygiene efforts have "no impact" on cavity rates."
Natural TP's seem to be supported by peer review, but not scientific community as brushing alone probably will not get rid of cavities. Sugar is not only culprit for tooth dacay. Acids in food such a lemon or tomato (or soda) also tend to decay tooth also. So I don't think natural toothpase can address all of bad things going on in the mouth.
I prefer Dr. Bing or Dr. Duck Duck Go, myself.
I also use Dr. Bing in "InPrivate" mode. Find it less intrusive than Google.
stevea 05-18-2023, 06:37 AM Of course, I forgot the best online dental advice comes from Dr. Yahoo.
Caroline13 05-18-2023, 01:26 PM THe best advice is Cut Way Back on Sugars and YOU can save your teeth. This is the Real Answer.....the food industry loads all foods with sugar and wonder why????? It's all money money money, keeps the world going I suppose...
James28 06-08-2023, 11:16 PM ^^I don't know. The healthy alternatives to all those sugary foods may be too expensive. It's hard to find foods that won't do long-term damage to your teeth. There is simply no way to completely avoid getting cavities all your life.

There is sugar in everything, just don't consume all the heavy sugar crappola
, I did in my young yrs and I've paid.....
Also on the fluoride do a search on Fluoride and the Thyroid.
Caroline13 06-09-2023, 02:30 PM The True Story of Cipro and that class of Abx drugs. They are loaded with Fluorides.
https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/health-issues/the-true-story-of-cipro/#gsc.tab=0
We are almost certain that Cipro did so much damage to my daughter's feet, ligaments, and so tragic how so many drugs cause so much damage...and the docs continue to hand them out. She is paying and paying for trusting that doc who pushed the Cipro. And those who trust that docs have our Health as their first interest, better think again. I was a believer until the 1980's....
James28 06-12-2023, 09:59 PM Also on the fluoride do a search on Fluoride and the Thyroid.
I saw on this page (https://thyroidpharmacist.com/articles/fluoride-and-your-thyroid/) that, "Ingesting too much fluoride can cause damage to the thyroid gland and hypothyroid symptoms in an individual who was previously healthy." I wouldn't call using a pea-size amount of toothpaste for brushing my teeth twice a day "too much fluoride".
It's always depressing to know that teeth just aren't able to heal themselves. A large amount of extractions will lead to a loss of ability to eat certain foods; I'm more scared of such an ability loss. And let's also mention the acidity of fruits and vegetables leading to eventual dental erosion and tooth sensitivity. All these measures we take to take care of our teeth, and you still can't escape dangers like these entirely (https://www.trucaredentistry.com/blog/why-do-i-get-cavities-despite-brushing-and-flossing-my-teeth-twice-a-day/). Even in moderation, people are still unwilling to cut that far back on the sugary stuff they consume.
And what about all the dentists who are still using mercury amalgam fillings? I mean, breathing in all those mercury vapors, and them getting absorbed into the lungs; your immune system being compromised or weakened; the potential for Alzheimer's Disease down the line; etc.. Insurance can't cover the less-dangerous alternatives, like composites.
Good to know, for everyone who eats toothpaste.
It does taste really good on toast.

Of course I could ignore the above, but wonder if it's meant to be Funny, your Truth, or the same ole sarcasism stuff. Maybe all of the above.
