Dana was the original person who posted this topic on this board, but now I have taken over her ID. I was looking at the old messages at 1020 Palm Drive and I saw you guys had a lot to say about this subject, I have to say most of what you said Meagen was funny & true -- I was also reading the bad kisser bit too that was

Did you check out the poll you will be surpraised at what most people voted for, 10 out of 15 people think something hapened.

I kind of have to go now but will write more later.

Have a nice day

Never read that so I don't know what you're talking about but I suppose you're referring to Tony (Larry). Don't forget that the show was made in the 60s where no-one really did any French kissing  - they didn't even have sex and separate beds.

Larry was (and is still) happily married to Maj- has been since 1954- and he NEVER had any extramarital affairs with Barbara Eden.

Sidney Sheldon has stated that Tony & Jeannie's relationship was "strictly platonic", and that NBC made SURE this was adhered to. Although, in Bill Davenport's script "G.I. Jeannie" [10/16/65], Captain Nelson reminds Jeannie
they agreed their relationship is supposed to be "strictly platonic", but she claims, "I agreed because I did not know what 'platoinic' meant". The "friendly kiss goodbye" she then gives him, before he leaves for the base, tells me there WAS more going on between them---I guess it's up to the viewer to make their own conclusions.

You know TV Knowledge Fan you might have just ruined it for many Larry & Barbara shippers (god I haven't heard that word in a while but I guess it just popped into my mind ;)) by saying "no" - you know that was a big "no no" :D ...I personally liked them on the show and enjoyed the chemistry they had, they don't have to have a thing just to make things even better ;)...there's nothing worse than seeing a family falling apart through things like that..they seem to be good friends and that alone sometimes is worth more than an affair cause all - now can I say that ;) magic is gone...

I'm sorry, 'BSDDomi'. I didn't mean to disillusion you about Larry & Barbara. Maybe they DID.....I don't know, I wasn't there! I know that June Lockhart & Guy Williams did "fool around" between takes on "LOST IN SPACE", according to one of their most frequent directors. Who's to say Larry & Barbara DIDN'T???? I just hope all the "magic" you felt for them isn't gone completely....

Oh no no...I was joking..you didn't ruin anything for me I meant to say that maybe you ruined it for some of the fans..and I didn't mean anything bad by saying that...I just have a weird sense of humor I guess...plus I believe if people really believe in things such as these no-one can tell them otherwise. Don't you think?

Yeah. You're right.

Who knows? Maybe the reason Barbara looks so "ageless" as she does is because she IS a------

Well, there are many ways to make you look 'ageless'...Barbara certainly looks good for her age. She comes across as a very relaxed, happy person - my impression from the pictures I've seen her in and the recent interview 'Out of the Bottle' on the season one DVD set with Larry, although sometimes I had the feeling she was kind of lost...so maybe it's the way she looks at life these days and I heard she works out a lot that makes her look and feel so much younger. Happiness in your life can do a lot to you and your health. If you feel miserable it shows in your face and it makes you sick and look old.

I don't know what Barbara and Larry did or did not do back then, it's none of my business anyway plus I don't have the energy to think about things that happened forty years ago  or over the years to people I don't know personally - I enjoy watching the show and I enjoy reading the threads and I don't mind people saying they had an affair or not...we all have a different opinions.

Larry's commented many times with the answers publicly to the three most frequently asked questions:

1) No, we did not.
2) Yes, Barbara is as beautiful in person as she is on camera.
3) Yes, Barbara has a navel. She is a human, but that was back in the 60s when it was not okay for a female navel to be on camera.

You can figure out the questions from the answers that Larry gives.

At his on-stage show back in September in Cerritos, CA, he had a question and answer period at the end of the show. I believe he answered EVERY card. You could see and hear by the way he answered, which questions he was delighted to answer. He started off the whole thing with "the answers to the three most frequently asked questions", if I recall correctly (that was almost 8 months ago).
