I last dialed

508-382-5968

Its an interesting number..... Ya get a dial tone and I have tried all the keys (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 0) and they all give an invalid sound on it......

I havent tried * or # yet (Star or the Hash key (Pound))

What Numba did you last call??

I can't recall the last time I dialed a number or used a rotary phone. However the last number I called was eBay customer service.

I looked up the number you posted, and it belongs to a private residency in Massachusetts (Worcester).

Anyway, the last number I dialed was a friend of mine. Actually, I haven't dialed a phone since the 1980s. I just push a button (on my cell) and it automatically calls the person/place I am trying to reach. I haven't had a rotary phone since Reagan was president.

I'd bet this is standard practice in this new fangled society.

I've already had conversations with "Dude" about this, but when I was a kid I used to be hooked and dailing 123456789*0#, I would get the long distance tones from the 1980s and a male voiced recording would come on and say something to the effect of,

"The number you have reached, 234-5678, is a test.
Hang up now if you are calling locally, otherwise you will be billed for this call if you are calling long distance"

And it DID charge to our phone which ticked off my my grandparents lol And sometimes I couldn't hang the phone up for about 15 minutes after words, I mean it wouldn't let me disconnect!

Then other times I'd dial the number and I would get like a female voice miming a busy signal, it sounded literally like a woman saying, "ehh..ehh..ehh..ehh..ehh..." And sometimes a scary alarm would sound like the nuclear war sirene!

A very strange and bit scary number from my childhood, but all us kids would call it

It occurred to me the other day, I don't know anyone's phone number. I just store them in the phone under their name. I couldn't tell you my best friend's number - I just hit Nathan on the speed-dial.

I don’t know. Maybe my wife. My parents call me sometimes. I for now do not know anyone or call anyone and am fine with that. I hate people calling me. Maybe not my wife but anyone else because I don’t know who you are and why in the bell have you dialed my code to try to find me? No one should be able to do that. If it’s a friend calling you to talk to you or about your welfare this is fine but anyone else who don’t know you, this should be illegal.

I for one hate telephones. Mobile phones are somewhat OK because mostly the number is private (although I heard it’s different in America) and one can see some strange number and not answer it. I would also have my phone on almost mute, a very quiet ring so idiots who call me I don’t know will never be answered. The ringer would be on silent except for the fact that maybe I might lose my phone in the house and can call another number to retrieve my phone. I am no genius and do get drunk do this sometimes happens. One time I freaked out because I thought I left my phone at the bar but it was between the headboard and the mattress.

Another thing about phones is when is slave-employed and the “boss” is anal about the phone and that at “work” that goddamn phone must be answered by the third ring and usually the employee/slave has to answer the phone some ridiculous way “Hello, this Groucho, thank you for calling ABC Enterprises, how may I direct your call this evening?” Or some other bullish**.

Another thing I hate, calling some business and getting someone on the phone and you telling them what you want, with them telling you “I am sorry, we are the answering service.” Well, Ok, can you answer my question? “No sir, we are the answering service…” I have out of frustration asked them why in the hell if they answered the phone if they couldn’t help me. It’s idiotic.

The thing with phones is that any idiot, moron, official or stranger can call you anytime. If they have the code, it goes to a ringing box from hell and back in the old days we would run like mental patients to answer the goddamn thing. Or then again work for some **** company and have to answer the phone in some ridiculous long way and give away your name to some complete stranger.

Many people in the fantasy of, “If you can go back and time and kill anyone, who would you?” Most would say Hitler. I would say Alexander Graham Bell, but probably not because if it wasn’t for Bell it would have been someone else. Sometimes the ancient times would have been better, just communicate by smoke signals or knocking coconuts. Smoke signals would be better because we would be so freaking baked we forgot the message or why the person was bothering us in the first place.

I do not appreciate God's name being used in vain, Yong Fang. Most people don't do that here. And can you go one post without being really crude?
