Today is the 1st anniversary of aaliyah's death. :(

:( She was great! She seemed like a wonderful person, and I loved every song that she made.....my favorites were One in a Million, Are You That Somebody, Rock the Boat, More than a Woman, Fire, Come Back in One Piece, among others, and she will be soooo missed, by me, among others

:( I remember last year my brother told me Aaliyah died but I didn't believe him and when I went on the internet I found out she was in a plane crash. It's so weird because I remember loving "Try Again" and I used to listen to it constantly it came as a big shock to me. She was so young too, why such an awful death? :(

Time sure does fly by. It doesn't seem like its been a year. R.I.P Aaliyah. :(

Aaliyah was amazing. I think that a lot of great people die really young like that.

she was a very talented artist and it was a horrible loss:( my heart goes out to all of her devoted fans and friends and family

a year? omg...it feels as if it was like yesterday she presented n sync at the vmas. i remember my friend told me about it cuz i was at the beach all day...it finally sunk in like two weeks later. she was a great artist. rip aaliyah.

Aaliyah was SUCH a great singer. My favorite song of hers was "Are You that Somebody." I remember last year i saw that on the news and i just remember being so shocked. She seemed like a great person and its so sad that she died at 21. R.I.P Aaliyah!!!!!!! :(

I remember where I was, exactly. My best friend told me by my front door. I think its so odd that I can remember that, and where I was sitting in class on 9-11, but I cant remember things for school to save my life! I dont get it.

She was one of the best R&B singers. I thought she was amazing. RIP :(

I remember I heard about her death when I was watching Much More Music and saw it scroll along at the bottom of the screen and I was in shock. I hadn't listened to much of her songs at the time, but I had heard of her and had an idea of who she was. It's so sad that she died at such a young age. My fave songs by Aaliyah are Try Again and The One I Gave My Heart To.
