View Full Version : Favorite food item from Taco Bell
GoldenTV 05-09-2023, 02:26 AM I know food from Taco Bell is not high on the list of dinner menu, but I think they make some of best bean burrito around. If the employer staff make it right (with the beans not being too dry), it make very enjoyable meal. Always get two bean burritos with small bag of potato chip and I am a happy camper :)

JamesG 05-09-2023, 07:51 AM I haven't had Taco Bell in a while, but I usually go for the nacho box.

Theda Bara 05-09-2023, 03:28 PM I haven't had Taco Bell in years. I think the last time was back in 2018?
But I did enjoy their Crunchy Tacos and Baja Blast drink (is Baja Blast still on the menu?).
Sorry for being blunt, but I thought their nachos were gross. The meat/bean combo looked like dog food, and the chips had a weird texture/taste to them.
Zoneboy 05-09-2023, 04:26 PM Top 5:
Queserita
Doritos taco
Quesedilla
Crunchwrap
Mexican pizza
Taco Bell is the only place I can currently get a Mt Dew baja blast zero. It will be released in stores again this summer, but they're not the same as those from Taco Bell fountains.

dakert 05-09-2023, 05:06 PM My go to item is the $2 Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito on the cravings value menu. I get 2 and have 1 and save the other for the next day.
The one thing I don't like it the cinnamon twists
Zoneboy 05-09-2023, 05:11 PM My go to item is the $2 Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito on the cravings value menu.
I like that one also, but with no chipotle sauce.
Babalu 05-09-2023, 05:58 PM I have never been inside one, nor do I plan to be.

There's always the drive-thru. :D
ABlairican Pie 05-09-2023, 09:25 PM The Bacon Breakfast Burrito. I think it's the Grande Toasted Burrito. Salsa and sour cream required. Plus the hash brown and drink in the combo.

Bonniegirl 05-09-2023, 11:05 PM A basic bean & cheese burrito and the original crunchy ground beef taco!
GoldenTV 05-10-2023, 03:36 AM Sorry for being blunt, but I thought their nachos were gross. The meat/bean combo looked like dog food, and the chips had a weird texture/taste to them.
Quality of food from TacoBell seem to be very inconsistent and mostly depend who is back there preparing the food and the prep being done right. They got too many items on their menu and during rush hour they probably throw stuff together to get it out of the door.
biffbronson 05-10-2023, 05:02 AM I think it's been about a year since I got anything there. Back when I would fast from meat in the weeks prior to Easter, I would go for their burritos that had some combination of beans/cheese/rice/onions (no beef).
HuntingtonM15 05-10-2023, 08:46 AM I don't go too often anymore, but when I do some of my favorites are:
Mexican Pizza
Chalupa (minus tomatoes and lettuce)
Chips & Cheese
Hard Taco (minus lettuce, add sour cream)
HuntingtonM15 05-10-2023, 08:47 AM There's always the drive-thru. :D
Great point, because that's always my method!
rusty spike 05-10-2023, 10:27 AM I liked the Mexi-melt, but dum Yum Foods dropped the item in 2019
Yong Fang 05-10-2023, 02:35 PM Has anyone had Taco Bell Breakfast? To me that is bizarre for that chain to have, but supposedly it is pretty good. Would be nice if they offered the regular menu all day for the 24 hour places and maybe they do.
For me, I liked the Cinnamon Crispas which were basically cinnamon nacho chips. They changed that to “twists” about twenty plus years ago. I want the chips back. There used to be a beans and cheese dish that was great but has also been off the menu for ages. Other people online miss the Bell Beefer which is basically was a loose meat seasoned sandwich.
It seemed like some revelation that somebody suggested to Taco Bell to have dorito flavored taco shells. Even the person who submitted it got some praise and even some money. Sort of BS since a about a million potheads including yours truly thought of he same damn thing. As long as there are teenagers, drunks and potheads, Taco Bell will always stay in business.
I think strangely, Taco Bell is now selling chicken wings. I guess they are since everyone else is, Americans are all goofy about “Wings!” for some reason. I think of you want “wings!”, you need to go to KFC, or a hundred other places. But I do like the spicy fries which I think was discontinued but brought back.
I don’t know what I would miss there since so haven’t eaten in one for four years since that was the last time I was in the United States. I am coming back next week so maybe in two weeks will have some Taco Bell.
They need to bring back the chihuahua dog who went “Yo Quiero Taco Bell.” I think the politically correct crowd got him booted for insulting Mexicans and dogs.

Yeah, if there's one thing I can't stand it's low quality crap.
Yong Fang 05-11-2023, 12:01 PM That has always been my criticism of fast food, that it makes too much stuff, with corporate inventing new products all the time for the individual locations to learn and make. I sort of wish that the various fast food places stick to a core number of items and make that well.
What I have read about Taco Bell is that there are about twenty different ingredients and at least the lunch and dinner menu is basically a combination of that. So it isn’t as difficult as one might think it is. But again, it is having to make twenty or thirty different menu items.
Caroline13 05-11-2023, 02:04 PM I just developed a craving for Mexican, and have NOT had Taco Bell for over 20 yrs....so I'm asking my friend to pick up a Soft Taco Supreme and A Supreme Bowl. Gotta satisfy t hose cravings now and then. Would like a Tostada but they say they are not offering them now.
Well the soft taco is history, gone in 3 minutes, very small taco.
I offered my friend lunch or snack on me, and he ended up downing 2 burritos, small on these also. He's a clean food purist but broke down and he enjoyed them.
Caroline13 05-11-2023, 09:51 PM The Supreme Bowl was pretty bad...I believe no more Taco Bell for me.

Definitely agree. Like Taco Bell got no business doing breakfast. Fast food places can't compete with McDonald for breakfast.
I was going to ask you. Since you said you live or lived in China, do they have an equivalent of fast food place like Taco Bell in China where they sell Burritos and Tacos?
GoldenTV 05-12-2023, 12:35 AM Would like a Tostada but they say they are not offering them now.
I love Tostada, but as you said they are not on the dollar menu anymore. Its a mexican pizza with no meat :)

Hawkee 12-05-2023, 02:27 AM My favorite food from Taco Bell is tacos and when I do eat at Taco Bell my mom and I each eat two and I pair mine with Cinnamon Twists and a Mountain Dew Baja Blast to drink. I used to eat the bean burritos at Taco Bell but I perfer homemade ones now. But I tried the Nacho Fries today and I LOVE them and they get the "Hawkee Seal Of Approval"

I didn't know they even had the tostadas anymore? I used to love them. And way back in the day the " Enchiritos" were delicious! A cross between an enchilada & burrito. A shame they discontinued them!
Now that I know they have tostadas , I'd say they are my favorite along with the bean & cheese burrito and original crispy beef taco ! ;)

Those were my mother's favorite from Taco Bell along with the Burrito Supreme and I don't know why they discontinued the Enchiritos but my mom ate them a lot all the time Bonnie. Did you try the Nacho Fries yet? I like them and they taste awesome
Caroline13 12-05-2023, 01:44 PM Years ago I would buy a tostada and maybe a taco, but in recent months I bought something and it was tastless and never again. Increased prices and poor quality is the song of our times.
Dude111 12-13-2023, 08:09 PM Yup most stuff at these places is bland crap now which is why I dont goto em anymore...
I did like stuffed tacos at 1 point Carole.. (Extra meat, etc)
Ohio8 12-13-2023, 11:49 PM Soft Taco Supreme.
