and of course music before they hit the scene? It seems like around 2003 Brandy fell (https://www.lipstickalley.com/threads/why-isnt-brandy-bigger-than-beyonc%C3%A9-and-rihanna-when-she-had-her-films-tv-show-and-of-course-music-before-they-hit-the-scene.5251913/) from the It Girls club and never came back to the heights of Beyoncé and later Rihanna.

1994/95 were banner years for R&B music with the debuts of hot R&B stars such as Usher and the late Aaliyah made their marks on the scene and with Brandy coming off her success of her sitcom Thea she knew that she could expand her horizons with singing. And so when she released the single I Wanna Be Down people were surprised that Brandy had great talent for a 15 year old and when her self-titled debut album was released it became and still is to this day a bestseller in music and Brandy became a positive role model for everyone because unlike R&B stars who had a streetwise/tough image and had lyrics dealing with tough topics and profanity Brandy proved that she was not like that at all. But I think it was when Moesha came out and her second album Never Say Never debuted in 1998 that Brandy had matured into a young lady and still kept her clean wholesome image but it was a duet with another singer that made her debut in 1995 by the name of Monica that would soon give Brandy competition and the duet that would make Brandy and Monica famous was titled The Boy Is Mine which was the first single off Never Say Never and that duet is actually where Brandy shows her skills when teaming with Monica. But when Disney chose her to be in the 1998 Rodgers And Hammerstein's Cinderella they knew Brandy was the perfect choice for Cinderella especially since she was paired with Whitney Houston who was Brandy's role model that movie gave the two stars a huge popularity boost. But after her third and fourth albums came out Brandy started to wane in popularity and that's why Atlantic Records dropped her. But the album Human was her weakest album and although Human showed her growth as an artist it wasn't as successful. But Two Eleven was her comeback and did very well. But I think Brandy should make a big comeback to movies and sitcoms because I'm sure she could be a sitcom star once again
