Every Saturday I turn on to PBS to watch Are You Being Served?, Last of the Summer Wine, Keeping Up Appearances, and My Hero. Then I watch the BBC World News at 10:20. It just hit me now, I love UK TV. It almost makes me want to pay the £117 ($170) a year for watching it! (Since BBC channels are commercial free, UK viewers have to pay an estimated £117 ($170) per year to have a TV License.....if you get caught watching TV without a license, you get a major fine. Anyways, UK TV Rocks! I just wish they would show The Weakest Link UK and I would like to see Man about the house and Till Death Do Us Part again. It also seems as if they don't use as much profanity as much as they do here in the US. I also find that a plus.........cause pretty much that's what most TV shows are here, sex, drugs, crime, and swearing.

Some British shows featured nudity like the "Father Ted" episode called "Hell." Ted and Dougal kept running into this naked man.

It is annoying having to pay a TV licence over here but I don't think it costs as much as you mentioned.

Weakest Link UK is pretty much the exact same as Weakest Link US although I've noticed in the American version Ann keeps repeating the rules at the start of each line.

There's that one they show on BBC America that I can't think of the name of (it starts with a C) that looks almost like Friends but...uh....more profane? Yeah, something like that. It made Friends look PG anyway.

You're thinking of "Coupling" which is a lot like "Friends." "Gimme Gimme Gimme" is a lot like "will & Grace," but not as funny.

I don't get most of the British jokes. I think it's because most of the words we use here, are different there. Like, mum instead of mom (that irritates me, mum! Ah!) knickers instead of pants, and a whole bunch of words that ruin jokes for me.

The best britsh show I've ever watched is 'Man About the House', which 'Three's Company' is based on. I wanna see the short-lived 'Married For Life' (the british remake of 'Married...With Children') It must be good. Most of the 1st season are remade from the USA version's 1st season.

What Americans call pants, British people call trousers. Nobody really uses the workd "knickers" and if they do they are talking about underwear.
