I stopped loooking at boy meets world for about 3 or 4 years and when i tuned in toward the end of the show, i was so surprised at how big Corey's girlfriend became. If she was on a television sitcom, why would she put on all that weight? Shr really let herself go

Sorry to bring back an old topic. I hope nobody minds. I have to disagree with Solomon. Topanga didn't get big in the later seasons. I find it refreshing that a girl on tv wasn't a size 2 or something. No, she wasn't as skinny as a pencil- but she sure as hell wasn't fat either.

I meant to say a little chunky not really big-she just gained a little weight-bigger than she was than when she first started the show

I think Topanga is considered volupuous. You could tell even as a little girl she would never be pencil thin. But she turned into a real classic beauty. But to each his own.

I would say that is an accurate description for Topanga's size-Voloputous

Just like men getting hair on their chests, back, and face as well as big shoulders during their teenage years, a woman getting fuller hips and breasts is NORMAL!!! Most of the time we do not see women who are well endowed because they have starved themselves so much, they are unable to go through puberty correctly. I honestly have to say that the actress, Danielle, looks very beautiful in the same way that Marilyn Monroe was. Do you know that Marilyn was no less than a size 12 pants size (that would be at least a 40 inch waist size translated in men's sizes)? People still consider her a beauty. I honestly find Danielle more attractive as she has grown over time. It is good to see an actress like her who can grow up under the spotlight, stay healthly, and not get anorexia or bulimia. I think she actually serves as a good role model for other girls just as a successfull athlete who does not take steroids to achieve success is a good role model for boys.

She was big, but she looked really cute in everything she wore, he clothes fit her just right and also she got prettier toward the end. I think she turned out really beautiful!

She did get bigger, but she was still attractive.

She didn't get "fat," but she did gain a lot of weight. If you compare the later episodes to the earlier High School ones, it's amazing.

That's all I'm sayin' ;)

Danielle is gorgeous....yes she did gain some weight, but that shouldn't even be a discussion...not everyone is the size of Britney Spears or whoever, but they can still be beautiful, and Danielle is a testament to that....she was certainly not FAT by any means, but someone like that over a size 4 and still gorgeous is a can show young people that they dont need to be "perfect"

I think it's rude how that one person was bashing that other guy's opinion. Everyone is entitled to one. I agree with him too. I used to want to look like Topanga, but towards the end, she just got too big. Her hair was always pretty tho.

ITA! She wasn't like all those others we see that look like broomsticks walking around. She's very voluptuous, and like Angela told her "I would kill for those curves". So would I!

I think she looks healthy.

ok u people need to grow up her or any one elseas wieght on that show is none of ur bussnies and if she is comfortible with her size then thats all that matters and she is not even that big

She was totally not fat! She was a curvy girl but curves, as i'm sure we all know, are good. She was a beautiful girl.

I just noticed her face was more FULL than it was in the earlier seasons. But she still was in the attractive category

That is just not true. The majority of girls do go through puberty properly. While statistics show that by the age of 18 most girls have dieted at least once, most do not actually indulge in such self starvation that it would permanently stunt their growth.

It's interesting that this topic has been bumped recently. I have just seen Danielle hosting MTV's Say What Karaoke this summer, and I was surprised to see she looks exactly the same as she did during the last season of Boy Meet World. I thought the pudgyness was just a stage because the years before she looked much slimmer, and then her change looked almost immediate. But no, she still looks like she did in 2000. She's not fat by any means, just thick.

she was not fat! i'm positively nauseated by the actresses out there these days and how thin they are. they don't even look like real people! topanga looked like a real girl and i loved that. she was beautiful

Well said Cake is Good, I agree, people complain that the actresses out there are too thin, but when they finally get one onscreen that looks healthy she's "too fat".

I don't see anyone commenting on Eric's weight gain. I still think Eric was hot even when he got a little chunkier.:)

I hear ya.

I know it annoys me though when I was in highschool people would always assume I'm anorexic and NOW that i'm 30 I STILL get that question I just want to yell 'NOOOOOOOOOOOO I'M NOT!!"

I do not think the message the last contributer to this message board responded to meant to assume that ALL skinny people were anorexic. I think he or she intended to emphasize how there is a relatively large eating disordered population in the entertainment industry and how it has set societal standards for physical attractiveness which leads the general population to want to be skinny too and to have negative body immages. Seeing a person (like the actress portraying Topanga) who's body better reflects the sizes of most American women is a positive influence in self immages of "Boy Meets World" viewers.

all i know is topanga always looked good 2 me.:)
