The actor testified (https://www.lipstickalley.com/threads/darius-mccrary-granted-4-year-restraining-order-against-rick-james-ex-wife.5237482/) in court about the alleged abuse (https://www.tmz.com/2017/02/22/darius-mcrary-hit-wife-restraining-order/) he suffered while with Tanya. Darius’ ex was not in court for the hearing. The judge ordered Tanya will have to stay 100 yards away from the actor and cannot communicate with him. The court said Darius has the right to record Tanya’s phone calls if she reached out.
Back in December, Darius filed his petition for a restraining order. The 46-year-old claimed (https://theblast.com/414841/actor-darius-mccrary-files-restraining-order-against-his-ex-who-he-claims-threatened-to-take-his-dog/) that he was “emotionally traumatized and couldn’t focus on work due to the alleged abuse by Tanya.
“She has been and continues to be mentally abusive,” he claimed. He said Tanya threatened to “have her friends come and take my dog and said she will leak stories [to the media] if I do not pay her. She has keys to my vehicle. I am afraid she will cause further damage. She continues to call me “a punk b---- f---- and is slandering my name in several professional circles of the entertainment industry.”
