For its Season 5, only (https://news.yahoo.com/amphtml/bob-abishola-reduces-most-series-021602979.html) the two leads of Bob Hearts Abishola, Billy Gardell and Folake Olowofoyeku, will remain (https://news.yahoo.com/amphtml/bob-abishola-reduces-most-series-021602979.html) series regulars.

The show will not be the show. Bad idea.

It's also a sign that we won't see much of the supporting cast, including Christine Ebersole, Matt Jones and Maribeth Monroe, who portray Bob's mother, brother and sister. It also includes Abishola's co-workers at the hospital asnd her side of the family. Not a good sign. It could spell cancellation for Bob Hearts Abishola but with five seasons complete, it could be a candidate for syndication in the fall of 2024.

13 regulars is too many for a half-hour comedy. I don't even know how you write for that many people. Majority of sit-coms have 4-5 regulars. That number was insane.

I stopped watching this show after Bob married Abishola. For me, I never cared for the character of Abishola. She is so strident and hard in my opinion. I did like Tunde (played by an American) and like the brother (who was on Breaking Bad and Mom) and the crazy sister character and the mother.

But the show lost me when they got married and Billy is no longer fat. That was sort of his character, the fat guy, but I understand the actor did it for his health.

Bob Hearts Abishola star Bayo Akinfemi on having to take a pay cut to keep the show alive: "It was a bit surprising, for all of 10 seconds" “We are disappointed, but we also understand at the end of the day it’s a business," says Akinfemi, who has appeared on 73 episodes of the CBS sitcom, in an interview with The New York Times.

Did this not happen? It does not seem that the story follows Abishola to medical school at Johns Hopkins without her coworkers, mom, son and Bob's cemployees.
