This thread has a lot of meaning for me because this thread is all about commercials for Circuit City and it was a favorite store of mine when I became a teenager. With that said we look into commercials for this iconic electronics store chain. Circuit City commercials made their debut in 1985 and were originally known for selling computers and TV's and video game systems as well as appliances too. But their most famous commercial debuted in the late 80's with the slogan "where service is state of the art" and were nicely done with computer animation. Over the years Circuit City expanded itself to not only electronics but also started carrying movies and music and for me that's why it was my favorite store because I loved the movies and music aisles there. And as Circuit City expanded so did their commercials and the commercials became more fun and fresh. Before it's demise in 2009 Circuit City started to use The Cars hit Just What I Needed as their slogan and also in their commercials and it seemed like a smart move and also sported a new logo. I would have to say if Circuit City hadn't closed they still would compete with Best Buy and Target if they were still surviving today and have fresh and awesome commercials
