I was just thinking. What would the world be like if everyone was poor and lived on the streets? How would it be good and how would it be bad?

It would be bad because there wouldnt be any tv, music, movies, and other things and we would be cold and hungry.

It would be BAD!!!! I would die. But then again... we wouldn't know any other life. We wouldn't know what it was like with TVs and computers and fridges and stuff. The only good thing I can think of, is that it builds character.

That would be kinda cool if we were uncivilized

I think it would be bad. There would still be crooks and stuff and living on the street won't help. I can't think of a descent reason why it would be good.

It would be just horrible! I would feel so unsafe and insecure with all of the wierdos, killers, and stealers that are out there. And think about all of the problems that could arise. I would hate it so much.

That is what camping is for (at least, years ago it was).

Filth, famine, disease, ignorance, etc.

Pretty much like Afghanistan.

I hate camping, I hate dirt, I hate bugs
I hate sharing my room w/ my friends when they sleep over.
I dont care for being outside in the dark.
The very words "roughing it" strike fear in my heart...
I wouldnt have my TV, my computer, heat and air conditioning, or my movies. In other words: i would die.

The only good thing is I guess some people would get to know people better and build character but I dont like being forced to socialize, Im an only child who needs to be alone sometimes and wants MY room, MY bathroom, and MY space. I know that sounded kind of obnoxious but goodness, its the truth.

Well, it would be good in a socialist everybody's-equal-no-one-is-being-exploited-let's-all-share kinda way.

However, I think the bad would far outweigh the good.

Ever heard or read about what the most destitute parts of England and other parts of Europe were like centuries ago?

The absolute squalor?

The literally walking through and laying in of urine and feces?

People dumping their "chamber pots" out of open windows and out onto the street?

The disease?

The plague?

The hunger?

Maybe I should share with you the story of Mary King's Close. Or perhaps you should just go look it up for yourself.

If you lived in that sort of environment, trust me, you would not have the time nor the inclination to b!tch about not having TV. You would be spending too much time simply trying to survive.
