I recently for a short time moved from the city I live in China to another city. In the city I was in, getting good beef is nearly impossible and there is no beef mince. So the only time I could eat beef mostly was at McDonalds. McDonalds hamburgers are not very good in China so usually I opt for a chicken sand which since they ar me really good and I love chicken, especially fried chicken.

Since I have been mostly in Asia….

China (I have had KFC all over China as far west as Urumqi)

Taiwan (forgive me Xi Jinpeng)

Thailand. In a beach community called Ao Nang in the south peninsula.

South Korea (I lived in South Korea for a few months. Love the food there! Near my employer (who was awful and the days exceedingly long) was a Popeyes Chicken which was horrible. I don’t know why since South Korea is famous for fried chicken and beer restaurants which are incredible!)

Hong Kong (HK is a part of China but is sort of autonomous)

To those of us who hasn’t traveled outside the United States (and cool of you never have); sometimes McDonalds is a welcome sight of familiarity. I came back from Zambia to Dubai and then Hong Kong and decided to spend the night and there was literally no hotels to be had. I was (literally) willing to spend $200 USD for a hotel room; plus dragging my suitcases through the city where in summer is like summer in New Orleans. By dawn, I just wanted to go to the airport, buy a ticket and go home to my city in China, and there was McDonalds for a hungry, tired person.
