Due to the contractual disputes between chrissy and the producers. Three's Company could not start without her so that's why it started so late in the fall-It'a shame that chrissy's husband ended her Three's company stardom

It wasn't becasue of the contractual dispuit between Suzanne Somers and the producers. In the summer of 1980, there was an actors strike throughout Hollywood. Most series had late fall premire dates because of not being able to tape until October that season. So even if Suzanne had stayed, the fifth season would've premired late.

I thought it was a writers strike in 1980 not an actors strike. They said on the True Hollywood Stories special that Suzanne Sommers didn't show up for work on two seperate episodes, once they re-filmed and another time they gave her lines to someone else and she didn't appear in the episode at all.

She was having contract disputes and claimed she had been injured and that is why she didn't come in, but then performed in Vegas.

Maybe this isn't true I don't know how factual it was but it had all the cast members who were still alive talking (I think it aired almost 3 years ago).

I do remember Suzanne saying that she was injured and the show asking her to see their doctor and she refused.

Yes, the E! True Hollywood story had every cast membrer except Audra Lindley who had died just prior before they started doing the interviews.

I believe it was an actor's strike. The writer's strike I think took place during the 1981-1982 season.

I think Suzanne may have injured herself but overexerated the injury. John has said that she did see something on her back. It may have been a minor injury.
