At Celebration Star Wars Europe, three Star Wars movies were announced, most notably the glorious return of Daisy Ridely’s Rey Skywalker, in addition to a prequel by Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny director James Mangold, and a Mandalorian conclusion by Dave Filoni.
What are the implications of these movies taking place in the past, present and future of the Star Wars timeline, and will these movies actually happen? Because the Lucasfilm track record for announcing and then cancelling projects is not a good one, with even the Marvel’s Kevin Feige project is now done for.
