Does anybody enjoy/seen/have episodes from the series?? I have heard people say that it was a pretty good series, but what did they use as the excuse for no Ward? I know by then he had in real life died, but i wonder what the series said...

We talked about the show on the board here just last month. If you want to read what everyone said there, look at the post called "1980's Remake Named 33rd Worst Show". I was so young when I watched it, I don't remember what said about Ward, except I think he had died in the show too.

Although I have never seen the series, I have heard a lot of stuff about it. Ward had also died in the series. The series was started after the "Still The Beaver" reunion movie. I think someone said in another thread that the movie begins with June being escorted from Ward's grave by Wally and Beaver at his funeral. That's so sad! I have heard it was pretty good because it was cool to see everyone all grown up and June as a grandma.

Yes, Ward had died as of the 1983 pilot movie "Still the Beaver". It was sad, but it was part of the tone of the movie- it was a brilliant blend of comedy and drama and really made the world of the Cleaver's seem real.

In the STB movie and the rest of the 4 seasons of the series, Ward was still made a part of the family through flashbacks and loving stories told by June, Wally, and Beav.

In season 3 of TNLITB, the story of June and Ward's courtship was told in the episode 'Ensign Cleaver'. They met during WWII at a USO dance as I recall.
