Here are some board statistics:

1,745 members have logged in the last 181 days (6 months).

129 members who have been registered for over 20 years have logged in the last year.

599 members who have been registered for over 10 years have logged in the last year.

We have a relatively small but loyal group. Some sections are still fairly active for having only 200-300 members logging in daily. If we had 500-600 daily members like we did at our peak, it would look more active. We have more guests/lurkers than active members at this point.

On the members here, there are some with like 22 yrs here and post on certain areas, but not on chit chat as I see it.

And since I've been here which is about 3 yrs or so, some have left, some talk about leaving so that's how I see it as I THINK I;m the Newbie...a Newbie at 85 soon!!!!!!!!

Funny when I turn on my computer in morning, the first forum I go to is this one. And I know many don't care if I'm here or not. Rather not. But I hang in for what could be that I do impart some info on some.

When I first logged on in 2001 Chit Chat was very active. Most of the posts were about Facts Of Life. A lot of Nancy McKeon fans. A lot of young kids . It was fun. But over the years a lot of those young members have left. We actually talked about Sitcoms which was the purpose of this site in the first place. Then eventually so many different topics started appearing that TJ had to split up the Chit Chat forum into different areas; movies, music, politics etc. So back in it's infancy SOL was far different than now. I miss the old days and the members but I still like it here and intend to stick around awhile.:wave:

Not surprising sports is the lowest. I think most people here would choose to a watch a Designing Women marathon running opposite the Super Bowl.

The sports board used to be a lot more active especially during football season. SO even had a yahoo group where they would pick the winners each week. I think I won that a couple times. lol Eventually though a lot of the sports posters left.
