HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - To smoke or not to smoke? This is the question plaguing celebrities recently.
Actor Johnny Depp has joined several other celebrities in not supporting New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in his crusade against public smoking, reports New York Daily News gossip columnists Rush and Molloy.
"In Paris, they practically encourage you to smoke," says Depp. "I've always thought of starting my own airline called Air Smoke. We'd make smoking mandatory."
Meanwhile Sopranos star Drea de Matteo recently learned that her 40-cigarette-a-day habit had caused her lungs to sprout nodules which can potentially lead to cancer.
And Mel Gibson said a few months ago he's weaning himself off nicotine. But recently he was fined $60 by the Australian Environment Protection Authority after he was filmed throwing a butt on the street an Australian city.
