Haley Joel Osment turns 36 today. Osment was born and grew up in Southern California, and began acting at the age of four, when he appeared in a Pizza Hut ad.
Osment became the second youngest nominee ever for the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, as Cole Sear in the 1999 film The Sixth Sense. He was also a Golden Globe and SAG Award nominee.

Artificial Intelligence. He also began doing a lot of voice acting, including in Disney films like The Country Bears and The Jungle Book 2. Osment made relatively few film appearances in the next decade. For at least half that period, he was studying at NYU, where he graduated in 2013. Since then, he has been working consistently, but mostly in indie films or other low-profile projects. He starred in the 2014 comedy Sex Ed. He has had supporting roles in films such as Almost Friends, Sleepwalker, and Death of a Telemarketer.
Osment has continue to work regularly as a voice actor. He has been doing voice work for the Kingdom Hearts video game series since 2002, and is currently one of the main voice actors for Dogs In Space. He costarred in the recent Amazon feature Somebody I Used to Know, and is part of the cast of Pussy Island, which will be Zoe Kravitz’s directing debut.
