Anyone else love the hair Naomi had for the syndie years? Those blonde curls were so great, and sometimes they were funny if Naomi was doing something in particular like complaining about the basement, etc.

As I remember, when Mama's Family was on NBC, Dorothy Lyman was still playing Opal on All My Children. And Opal had those curls. So to make her look different, they gave Naomi straight hair. Then when it went syndication, Dorothy Lyman had already quit All My Children, so they let her look more like the Opal character from All My Children with the curls.

I have to confess to having the hots for Naomi when I was a kid. That curly hair kinda turned me off, though. Then again, Naomi acted ditzier in the syndicated run than she did in the NBC run, so that might've been part of it, too!

I like Naomi's hair in the NBC episodes better than the syndication episodes.
