Quantum Leap’s showrunner, Martin Gero, gives a frank response when asked about the possibility of recasting Scott Bakula’s role as Sam Beckett.

I never would have even dreamed of this horrendous idea. Good thing the producers are against it, if they did ever recast Sam I would drop the current show. :rolleyes:
