If you’re in the mood for something crunchy, what’s your go to? I think I’d vote potato chips, either regular or bbq flavored.

Best brand of chips is Stacy's. Their parmesan garlic and herb flavor is amazing. Everything flavored Pretzel Crisps are excellent as well.

Overall, I'd probably give pretzel/cheddar cheese Combos my #1 vote

"Turtle" Chex mix is one I need to stay away from because once I start eating it, I never can seem to stop

Potato chip-wise..a couple years ago Lays introduced a chili/lime coated chip that I really liked, but they withdrew them after the trial run.....very disappointed they did not retain this offering.

So now my go-to potato chip is Takis crisps....which is essentially a pringle crisp with Takis' coating. Very enjoyable....maybe a tad too hot to be a "comfort" food

Yes ! Doritos ARE highly addictive , I can't buy them alot or I'd eat the whole bag ! :eek:

I also like Baked Lays potato chips, plain or BBQ.;) And Goldfish crackers ( all the flavors).:)

And popcorn , but only when I'm at the movie theater ! Once in a while if watching a movie at home , I'll make some microwave popcorn. But I never eat popcorn unless it's movie related! :D

The Ritz chips original and everything are both really good. I mistakenly picked up a bag of their pita chips and didn't realize it until after I opened it. I definitley won't make that mistake again.
The flavor of potato chip depends on the brand. I like original in Utz, Herr's and Wise, but not Lays. Wise used to make unsalted chips that were really good. They may have been discontinued because I can no longer find them. I used to love Pringles, but they don't taste the same as they used to. I like most any kind of Doritos including original nacho cheese, cool ranch and Taco. I don't care much for BBQ chips, but Lays and Aldi's baked versions are quite good as are their original baked chips. My least favorite chips have to be kettle cooked.

Utz is a very good brand, I've never been disappointed in their products. I haven't had any Wise chips in some years, their distribution may be more limited.

I like rhe pizza flavor Goldfish too a lot . But unfortunately they are hard to find out here, only a few stores carry the pizza flavor !? :confused:

I am a chip nut and there's nothing better I enjoy than having a Friday night snack of chips and string cheese or any other cheese. When I do have chips I like potato chips and my perferred brand is Lays and they are so delicious and second I like Ruffles because they have a flavor of their own. My mother is also a chip addict and she likes any barbecue chips she can find and sometimes she can eat a whole can of barbecue flavored Pringles all the time. My uncle was a fan of Funyuns and would buy a bag of them as a teen to eat while doing his homework and my mother liked them as well. You know it's hard to find great tasting potato chips today because they all have come up with odd flavored chips like veggie chips and chips with lime and those Takis chips and we need to return to the classic potato chips we grew up with. Like Granny Goose chips and Laura Scudder's chips because those brands are such classics

Lay's and Utz Barbecue Chips are my favorites. I'm trying to cut back.

I also love Cheetos cheese puffs , the fluffy ones. Trader Joe's puts out a low fat brand that is delicious, if you didn't know you would think you were eating regular Cheetos ! Only thing you don't get the adorable cheetah Chester's picture on the bag !;)

I can literally consume an entire bag of Doritos in a couple of days. So I request my family members NOT to buy any Doritos while grocery shopping because of my addiction to that brand of chips.

I went to one of my more local stores and told the owner about these snacks. He thought I was making these up until I showed him the photos.

I’ve tried the Cheesecake Kit-Kat and it’s very similar to the White Chocolate Kit-Kat. Didn’t really taste a difference. The spicy garlic Doritos I’m eager to try soon.

The Spicy Garlic Doritos were great. You get an overwhelming smell of garlic as soon as you open the bag. Be sure to have a mint or something afterward.

The pizza chips were similar to the Tomato & Basil ones we get here.

That's interesting. More than a few of us here are Doritos fans it seems. Those potato chips look really tasty too.

I do my fair share of plain tortilla chip eating, sometimes with a dip like French Onion or with a picante sauce. I prefer yellow corn over white.

At one point I had lots of tostadas, so I broke them up and made a party mix of sorts with pretzels & cheese balls.

Not really a fan of these. It’s like it was flavored using ramen noodle seasoning.

You can pretty much get a seasoning packet from instant noodles and sprinkle them in a bag of Cheetos to know what these are like.

If you are looking to try some great tasting corn chips try the Walmart Great Value Corn Chips. I tried some for the very first time and they're actually better than Fritos and I just got lucky because I got a whole variety box of Walmart Great Value chips and they are so great because you get potato chips barbecue chips ranch chips chili cheese corn chips and cheddar and sour cream chips which my mom liked even better than Ruffles Cheddar And Sour Cream chips. If you have a chance head to Walmart and try to get a box if they carry them and you will be amazed at their taste and they truly get the Hawkee Seal Of Approval

You are so welcome Biff. Anyway if you do find the variety box let me know how you liked the chips. As I said in the recent post they are actually pretty good and my mom liked her Cheddar And Sour Chips from the Walmart Great Value chips and I hope to get more variety boxes of chips soon

Biff did you get the box of Great Value Variety Chips at Walmart yet? I am curious to know? But one you have to avoid in that variety box are the tortilla chips because they lack flavor and don't taste great at all but the other chips taste great
